How Dinosaurs Fit Into the Bible

invisible whether Thrones or powers or rulers or authorities all things have been created through him and for him uh and actually I kind of picked this verse today cuz uh we see a lot of different prehistoric stuff over here uh and you know there's a lot of very interesting things that God created on this Earth You know both physical and spiritual and you know I think we ought to give glory to a god like that uh so that being said let's stand up and pray for the service Lord God we thank you for this morning that you've given us God and we ask you Lord bless the service God fill this place I should have waited to not blind you sorry about that good morning good morning everybody's here bright and early you know sometimes it's good morning Lord and sometimes it's good lord it's morning depending on what time right and how late you stayed up we were kind of party animals last night just stayed up talking about Ministry until I don't know 11 o' I'm I'm hanging out with Isaac and he's got all that energy and well you know how that goes all right so today we are going to talk about a topic that is often ignored by many churches I mean so I'm going to kind of go quickly here um I'm going to force feed you a bunch of information that usually takes about three days but I think I can cram it down to 35 minutes so uh I am Dave Bisby with Genesis apologetics you're saying who well we're from California now don't throw anything at me I know how Idaho feels about California but uh we are a nonprofit Ministry in Sacramento California and we have one goal and our goal is to strengthen the faith of students and their families so that they are confident enough to share Jesus Christ so that's what we do our main way that we get that we uh apply Ministry is through movies and social media and apps and things like that so we're we're moving to the high-tech Road all right let's get to our topic how do dinosaurs fit into the Bible now I have had well-intentioned people from all over the United States and even internationally that have some pretty interesting ideas some people think that dinosaurs didn't exist that they're just a government conspiracy uh other people think Satan created dinosaur and I used to think that they were kind of pulling my yanking my chain going you know really and then I I figured out it's because they did not have a Biblical framework to put dinosaurs in so that's what this message is today is just to kind of show you you know what I believe is the absolute truth and there are lots of scientists with lots of initials after their name that think the same thing all right so here's a standard worldview dinos swords were created through millions of years of evolution they died millions of years ago uh before humans quote appeared on Earth most of the dinosaurs were wiped out by the asteroid how many have heard that show a hands okay and some dinosaurs evolved in the birds if I had a dollar for every time I've heard that one I could buy you all the very nice dinner but all right now the biblical worldview is this first dinosaurs were created on day six of creation week why would I say that well the Bible tells us that that's when God created all the land creatures are dinosaurs land creatures yes they are most dinosaurs were wiped out by the flood I'm I'm going to back up all these statements with evidence in just a little bit okay most dinosaurs were wiped out by the flood and survivors became extinct After the flood due to climate change meaning hard to find food and being hunted to Extinction so how can there be such totally different worldviews and and ideas about dinosaurs I mean we have the same fossils well it has to do with science itself there are two types of science the first is called observational science and it's where we do we come up with ideas and then we test them to see if our ideas are true and in this type of science is responsible for cool things like planes and trains and clones and drones and all that stuff your world view what you think about God and Origins really doesn't have a big impact on this other than your ethics about how you do your studies and what you study right but you mix chemical a plus chemical B you get reaction C no regardless of what your personal beliefs are the second second type of science is where you it's called historical now what you do is you dig up fossils and different artifacts and then you have to come up with ideas about them now unless you have a time machine a lot of your ideas canot be tested you know we can weigh the fossil we can do a chemical analysis on it and if we have enough bones we can put Humpty Dumpty back together again to try to figure out what kind of dinosaur was but since they're gone we have to have a lot of you know maybe educated guesses about them okay so in historical science your world view has everything to do with how you interpret the evidence that's why two very educated people can look at the same fossils and come up with completely different conclusions does that make sense so you know when the Lord showed me this I was so excited because I was a skeptic until I was 29 I did not believe the Bible and dinosaurs were one of the biggest things that held me back so all right so this is usually the reaction I get from most churches when I you know say what the this view is they get a little like what are you crazy Pastor throw this guy out well we do have lots of evidence okay now for those that have been traveling with me for the last week this is the first nice kitty you've seen right okay good so to get an accurate view of dinosaurs you really need to look three places we need to look at scripture we need to look at the fossil record and believe it or not we need to look at history as well so let's get started let's start with the Bible is the word dinosaur in the Bible how many say yes how many say no how many don't like to hold up their hand in church yeah good all right so actually the word is not in the Bible because the word dinosaur didn't come along until 1841 okay so when all the major translations were written there was no such word okay however there is a really interesting passage in the Book of Job that we're going to take a look at so just to set the stage job is having a really bad day he's lost his family he's lost his income he's lost his children he's lost everything except for a wife who nags him and tells him to curse God and die so job kind of cops an attitude and I think I would to and you go through all these chapters to where job is saying hey Lord I am righteous I am innocent give me a fair trial I Dem and an audience and so then God shows up and starts talking and he start he says Hey job where were you when I created and he goes through a bunch of different animals and a bunch of different questions to Humble job he's saying job I'm God you're not and so that was the purpose of of asking job all these questions and then in chapter 4015 he mentions this creature called Behemoth so if you look at the footnotes in a lot of Bibles down below there's a little Mark fourpoint font that says that Behemoth was probably a hippo or an elephant so let's examine that closely by looking at the text okay so here's the first one look at Behemoth which I made along with you when did God make the land animals day six when did God make Adam and Eve day six kind of interesting here but there's so much more so we look at this text and we find out that Behemoth is a vegetarian he eats grass like an ox well what kind of animals eat grass well lots of different animals my dog eats grass depending on he's got a stomach AE so but at least we know that Behemoth is not a carnivore so if we keep going we look at this what strength he has in his loins what power he has in the muscles of his belly so whatever Behemoth is he's got a big belly like the one I'm working on here right um does do elephants have a big belly come on this is where you interact with me yes do hippos have a big belly yes does he have a big belly yes I don't think he's Behemoth even if he's a vegetarian look at the size of that belly so you and your friends could sleep over inside there and have plenty of room to play volleyball so thank goodness he doesn't eat people okay but again lots of animals have big bellies so we need to keep going with our investigation here's the kicker his tail sways like a little tiny Bush a twig no it says a cedar which is a big tree so um do elephants have tails like Cedars no um do hippos have tails like Cedars I don't know about you but I'd be embarrassed about that tail there I no okay absolutely not if they did they would look like this and they just don't so I mean I'm going to I have some ideas about what Behemoth was but I guarantee you it was not a hippo or an elephant because they just don't have the tail so let's get rid of that he has a huge tail this Brachiosaurus some of these Tails were 40 50 feet long for the tail absolutely long tails all right and what's interesting is if if you look at verse 17 it says that he moves his tail like a cedar the Senus of his thighs are tightly knit so what sign scientists have discovered is that these animals did not drag their tails behind them like my little toys that I had as a kid they hold it up in the air and the way that they do that is they have these muscles that attach at the back of the thighs that connect to the tail and they can use those tails for lots of things including a weapon um one study showed that they can whip that tail around with enough Force to kill a T-Rex instantly so you really didn't want to mess with this creature cuz he could whip that tail around and nail you so all the little stories about the T-Rex jumping on my little rurus and eating him no no no no I don't know about that all right now here is an interesting passage it says behemoth's bones are like tubes of bronze his limbs are like rods of iron H he ranks first among the works of God yet his maker can approach him with a sword now theologians say some other version said he is chief of creation meaning that he is the biggest land an animal that God ever created are hippos and elephants the biggest land animal no not at all this boy is sitting in a dinosaur footprint taking a bath I'm sure his mom is so happy and if you look at that replica of a suurus that man is standing next to you that would be the toes ankle knee hip we are talking massive creatures this is a toe bone of a Brachiosaurus and so is this this is a real Brachiosaurus toe bone which you'll get to see in between services so a toe bone so where do you buy size 400 shoes you know I mean look at that one toe bone all right so if you chart out and you try to compare what the scripture says about this creature what you will find is that it fits the description of a sorod but clearly doesn't fit the description so um I believe and lots of scientists believe biblical creation scientists believe that this was likely a sorod remember what the purpose of what God was doing he was using an example to Humble job and if job had never seen this creature would it make sense for God to describe a mythical thing that that job had never seen to Humble him no it wouldn't at all so let's get rid of that if you look at the text again it really does seem to line up with a sori dinosaur now scripture doesn't say it's a dinosaur but I think you can make the case by the way Behemoth itself means beasts of beasts in other words this is the Big Kahuna all right let's look at history so dinosaurs had another name before they were called Dinosaurs they were referred to as dragons so I'm going to put up a picture of a replica I couldn't bring it's too big TSA would never let me get this thing on a plane of my favorite replica fossil and when you look at it I just want to know what creature you think this is what animal does that what comes to your mind when you see that shape of the head how many thought Dragon yes okay and so you can see me holding it in their hand what is it they believe it was was a juvenile pilosa uh it was found in South Dakota and unfortunately they named it after Harry Potter which is a bummer but but like I said I think you can look at this and say that clearly looks like a dragon okay are there any historical references to dragons I mean uh how many of you have pets yep how many have dogs how many have cats there is forgiveness available for cat owners just to let you know God sck you any um so I take all kinds of pictures of my pet this is Daisy Duke my daughter's dog she and my daughter moved out I sure missed the dog anyway so I would be trying to work at my office and she would want to play but I have videos of Daisy I have all kinds of things because she's so cool if people lived with Dinosaurs do you think they might have drawn pictures of them wrote about them I think that's a pretty good yeah they would did did they oh yeah check this out might have to watch the volume on this one it goes on and on there's all there's all kinds of Legends that we tend to dismiss as medieval Legends you he probably had their roots in some kind of factual situation there's quite a bit of evidence that the dinosaurs died off fairly recently the last surviving ones uh died off just a few hundred years ago um that comes from the dying off of the legends of the myths cuz really most dinosaur stories most dragon stories a very matter of fact historical accounts of people interacting with a very very big lizard we we've got I mean so many historical references to you know uh uh creatures in in the lakes of Great Britain creatures in in the lakes of actually North America coming from the Native Americans creatures in in the lakes of Denmark and and all of places like that we've got stories from South America stories from Australia stories from from Asia historians have this term called selectivity it's a it's a very simple concept and what it means means is that it's impossible for uh a historian to record all the events of a certain occurrence in time and so they have to just use highlights You know here are the key points that we want to pass on well that's what makes Dragon Legend So remarkable because every culture in UN in unison like one unified shout every culture around the world selected Dragon Legends to be told they selected them to be passed down throughout history and that adds to the phenomenon of Dragon Legends once you understand selectivity we begin to take a little more seriously some of the legends of of of ancient time which of course are manifold in every culture but especially in the Asian culture you with their preoccupation with dragons and so forth you know the the Dragon Legends the stories of these dragons they always talk about these huge reptilian beasts with Fierce teeth and and prickly spines and and they just sound so much like dinosaurs Knox Wilson said in the World Book Encyclopedia 1973 not all that long ago listen to what he said the dragons of Legend are strangely like actual creatures that have lived in the past they are much like the great reptiles which inhabited the Earth long before man is supposed to have appeared on Earth Dragons Were generally evil and destructive every country had them in its mythology so let's look at a few items here so all of these historians have are considered credible looking at their writings and whatnot and what's very interesting is all of them mention dragons in their writings I don't have time to show you a lot of the examples and the uh specifics but the fact that all of these historians mentioned something in a historical context tells you that they were real creatures okay Alexander the Great hopefully you know who he was Leading Armies around conquering everybody he said that what is in what is part of India now that his soldiers were scared by the great dragons that lived in caves now think about this these were strong Fighters going around with you know their weapons and just conquering everybody and yet something in the cave scared them I doubt if that was a little snake all right so we have this is a alter cloth St George and a dragon and people say well that's Legend well here's what's interesting about this particular one scientists have identified that creature it's a nothosaur they have found a fossil that matches that so here's the question this fossil was found much much later than that alter cloth was made hundreds of years later how would they know what to depict on their drawings and their carvings if they hadn't seen the creatures is that a fair question because if you've ever done any fossil digs you'll know that you normally don't find them in nice little packages they're scattered and broken everywhere so I I think that's pretty compelling by the way that's what what it looked like now this one is a it's not technically a dinosaur it is a marine reptile because of the the hip structure all right um Roman artwork all over the place long neck dinosaurs uh this one is on the side of the Grand Canyon the Native Americans Drew this it's called a glyph what's interesting is looking at that drawing you can pretty much tell what it was the monturas this one is up in Canada what other creature has spikes on it on the back like that with the legs coming straight down very interesting that is certainly not an alligator right so these are all over the place this one is my favorite and I could show you a lot of these by the way this one's my favorite how many see the dinosaur okay how many see what's around him nine Hunters so what they tended to do in these cases is they would draw about their adventures and their Conquest on rocks so so if no one has seen a dinosaur then why do we have Legends carvings paintings statues writings all these different things that in unison say these creatures lived alongs side of man and when I first started studying this I went it just blew my mind but it took away one of the objections I had about dinosaurs millions of year before man that means death before sin that death was God's fault and not ours for being Sinners all right moving on did dinosaurs evolve into Birds well I guess if you wanted to do that you'd have to get a book maybe online now uh learn how to fly so and then you and your best friend would go to the top of a tall cliff and then You' flap your your brains out and yeah don't do that you see because dinosaurs and birds are completely different creatures and it's not just a few things it's a lot of things okay and most people haven't heard this they have found 120 species of birds in the same layers as dinosaurs what birds glad you asked like gons parrots flamingos corant sandpipers owls Penguins Advocates ducks and numerous waterf how could dinosaurs be evolving and changing over quote millions of years into bir Birds when they lived at the same time as Birds you won't hear that on PBS or Nova because they have a narrative that they want to convince you that that they have the accurate history what about this guy he's in a lot of museums and he is proposedly a missing link between birds and dinosaurs well this this gentleman here Alan fedua he's an evolutionist meaning he believes in evolution and he's an expert on birds and here's what he said it's a bird a perching bird and no amount of paleo Babble is going to change that so it's just interesting whenever they try to propose a link between dinosaurs and birds even the evolutionist say a lot of them say uhuh nope all right so did they evolve into Birds nope let's get rid of that what caused dinosaurs to go extinct you ready scientists have been searching forever for this and here it is vaping kids don't smoke anything all right seriously what does the Bible say [Applause] [Music] well according to Genesis 7:22 23 God wiped out everything with the flood that had the Breath of Life in its nostrils and that would include dinosaurs and so you go H wait a minute are you telling me that there were some dinosaurs on the ark well don't ask me what did God say here's what he said you are to take two of every kind of bird every kind of animal and every kind of creature that what moves along the ground huh dinosaurs move along the ground so looking at this you go all right I guess we have to bring the dinos uh how are they going to fit we just going to grease them up and everybody push get them in there come on move over everyone this used to bother me because I was going I don't understand and then I started talking to the the icr scientists and other you know scientists and they was like there is an answer da went oh okay first of all is this the ark is that the real Arc I grew up with that on my Sunday school wall so that is not the real Arc so my mission today you see that image I want to get it out of your head oh did he do that he did that because now now kids no real animals or people were harmed during this presentation okay but we that's part part of the problem is we a lot of people teach the the global flood as a like a fairy tale and we have these cute little arcs and whatnot and it sticks in your brain and so when you try to when you grow up you don't know what to do with it okay you know for example this is the ark encounter in Kentucky they have built a full-size replica of the Ark it's actually a museum you got to put it on your list to go to um 510 ft long which what does that mean one and a half football fields long it's four stories high and 84 ft wide plenty of room for what God told Noah to bring it has the carrying capacity of a train with 522 box cars so not that cute little bathtub thing that I grew up with here's another fact and I learned this U later in my journey is that there are only about 80 dinosaur kinds and if you need a male and a female so we need 160 animals and that sounds like a lot and until your realize most dinosaurs full grown are no bigger than a bison h no no problem put them on YK um what about the really big ones like the one that has that tobo on show you what about them well my friend here has an idea what if you were to bring babies so scientists have discovered fossilized eggs this of course is a model of one with the dinosaur still inside so those huge sods were about the size of a football maybe a big you know maybe two footballs when they were first born and so if you had babies it would be no problem going to set this back over here I promise myself I wouldn't trip and fall we'll see how that works all right and when you think about it doesn't it make sense to take babies eat a lot less smaller lighter so on so forth and who would you rather clean up after yeah I I know who I would rather clean up after so after they got off the ark though the world had changed it used to be tropical and Lush and plenty of food not now and then people got into fights with Dinosaurs that's why all the Legends almost all all of them are somebody slaying a dragon right now a lot of the Legends went through what I call the Walt Disney effect where all of a sudden the dragon is capturing the princess and he can speak and cast magic spells okay that's all fairy tale stuff but the dragons themselves were actual creatures that we call dinosaurs all right I mean how many are parents in here if you had a grizzly bear in your backyard what are you going to do you're going to yeah shoot it because you don't want it to eat your kids so if you have one of these in your backyard guess what you're gonna do all right moving on the last thing I want to cover is the fossil evidence for these guys okay I'm going to pick up the pace because I got 9 minutes and 30 seconds left so okay so the the fossil record okay so the fossil record I used to think that the fossil record the actual bones which have been dated by certain scientists that millions of years proved that they're millions of years old well let's take a look what is the fossil record everybody read this out loud please ready go okay yeah it's before 10 o'cl that's about right more coffee please all right how many did that in an Australian accent you get extra points for that all right one over here perfect um this was a definition by Ken Ham the president of answers and Genesis and a personal friend of mine um this Nails it in terms of what is the fossil record in a very short sentence so if you look at dinosaur fossils the whole group of them you find all of these characteristics which I'm going to step through the first is uh in North America there is this huge formation called geologic formation that is called the Morrison formation and in that formation which is 700,000 miles it has more than a 100 dinosaur graveyards okay so what's interesting about that particular area is when you dig up the dinosaurs you will discover that they are buried in a matrix of mud sand and Ash and the only way that you can really do that is if you have a global flood I do a talk on the flood about an hour long talk and what the flood was not just 40 days and 40 nights of rain it was three 370 days and the scientists have been able to put together computer simulation showing that it was just crazy the continent the one continent on the Earth broke up into different continents you had massive volcanoes tsunamis and that's what the evidence shows it's just total when God decides he's going to wipe out the Earth he wasn't plain he really did Wipe Out the Earth okay so oh dinosaurs evolved where's the evidence we have 100,000 or so fossil fossilized dinosaurs 3,000 full skeletons not a single ancestor okay so if you look at the sign they show all of these different uh evolution of dinosaurs now what's interesting is if you just focus on the fossils themselves you take away those drawn in lines what you will find is 80 kinds of dinosaurs very interesting now this guy not a creationist went looking for evidence for ancestors to dinosaurs and look what he said Olas my list of dinosaur and ancestors is an empty one bomber dude read your Bible okay now so when you find most of these fossils they are all busted up into these giant piles like this and if you think about it what would do that A big flood that would kill all the animals and wash them together into these quaries okay this one they believe a volcanic eruption killed it why did they say that because of all the volcanic ash in the piles and then uh they were washed together now they'll say it was a local flood okay uh you go to Hill to Canada go to this place you will find the remains of thousands of these centrosaurus what's a centrosur it's like a you look at the picture there kind of like a Triceratops but only has one horn right big massive several thousand pounds they estimate there are 10,000 of these in that area you can walk for 30 minutes make a left turn and walk another 30 minutes and you are walking on the remains of 10,000 so now they admit the evolutionist say yep yep yep these guys drowned in a flood but here was one guy's opinion we'd think a herd was trying to cross a river in a flood these animals were not too bright in other words George went and drown Sally said oh that looks like a good idea and she followed him and Henry and so on and so forth 10,000 of them the problem with the statement is there's no evidence of a river there all you have is this big flat area with tons of dinosaurs buried in but and that's not alone here's another one Utah 2,000 bones mixed in with d 11 kinds of dinosaurs together with crocodiles turtles lizards frogs and what clams where do clams live H go up here 32,000 specimens 12 families of dinosaurs have been found along with what fish huh where did fish live what is going on here fish to the field trip I guess if you go to these quaries and you study the literature you will see over and over again in secular literature in other words non-believers just okay um all of them seem to have had a problem dying in local flash floods and they're buried with shark teeth they're buried with fish they're buried with with clams what could do that we even have dinosaurs buried with fish right next to each other um that ought to cause everybody to pause that think that that you know the other version all right when you do find a skeleton they often look like they drown this is called the death pose these poor creatures were suffocated in mud not a not a nice way to go and it's not just one lots of them even the mighty T-Rex now what could knock down a T-Rex bury him in mud to where he just suffocates I think a huge wave with lots of sediment in it did that and that's again this is what the evidence actually shows so we have millions of sea creatures millions of land creatures and they are quite often all washed together the only thing that makes sense is a global flood just like the Bible teaches is that cool how many of this is news to you you've never heard anything like this before it was news to me and after I accepted the Lord and he kept sending really scary smart people my way I just got so excited that I had to go out and tell everybody so that's why we do what we do is because there's so many people that think you have to park your brain at the door to be a Christian and I'm hearing to tell you you don't okay all right doesn't the fossil proof that million years and then they went extinct um in 2005 they announced that Dr Mary schwitzer had found red blood cells and blood vessels in a T-Rex thigh bone okay now since then they've gone back and they've looked at that first they told Mary you're crazy you did your research wrong there's no way that soft tissue like that could be in dinosaur fossils because they're 70 million years old so they started looking at fossils that they already had and what you know there have been 120 scientific papers documenting not just dinosaur fossils but other fossils that are supposed to be Millions years old this is what they found in them and so rather than say now now what they're trying to do right now is they're trying to look for a solution about how did these things last millions of years old because when we put them in a lab they disintegrate even under ideal conditions they can't last the the longest one on here is collagen it might under perfect conditions last a million years okay but that's not 70 60 80 100 million years so this is a big problem for the evolutionist in terms of trying to explain this so what what they've done is they have come up with all these Just So Stories about how these were preserved and every time they come up with it it gets shot down and they turned up the heat on the bird to dino thing they're putting feathers on dinosaurs I found a sign in Phoenix that they had feathers on the dinosaur and the sign said even though none of these dinosaurs have been found with feathers its cousin has so we went ahead and put them on there what okay and they weren't feathers by the way that's another we'll get into that some other day because again laboratory tests show it doesn't last so the biblical view of dinosaurs is this they were created on day six of creation week they did not evolve into Birds most were wiped out by the flood and the survivors the ones that came off the ark came off the ark to a very changed world and they starved to death they were hunted to Extinction okay and that's the only way you can really look at all these Legends of people fighting dinosaurs and make sense to them because again the paintings carvings and drawings and writings indicate that they were what we call dinosaurs all right so I get this question a lot does it really matter what we believe about dinosaurs I mean it's all about Jesus and I agree it is all about Jesus who's the creator read John 1 okay Jesus as part of the Trinity is the Creator and so when we ignore what Jesus says we ignore you know we we come up these ideas that exclude creation we're actually going against what Jesus taught okay so if you have it says literal here if you view Genesis the creation week is literal history here's what it looks like you have creation you have in six days and a a very good God said that everything was a perfect God said everything was very good that means it was perfect okay and then you have Adam and Eve rebellion and after that consequences of the fall in addition to separation from God where these physical things pain death and suffering okay and that's what scripture teaches if you believe like I used to okay that all these fossils came in before Adam and Eve right what consequence did the Fall have because pain death and suffering were already part of the cycle of life okay and some people say well God was just talking about a spiritual death he wasn't talking about literal death that doesn't get got off the hook my biggest hangup as a skeptic was I saw pain death and suffering all around me and I thought that God made it this way and called it good and so I would tell people that I know that everything didn't create itself but the god of the Bible is not the one who did it because of the death before sin so if you look at it all over the New Testament you have have statements like this through one man this case Adam right sin entered the world and what death by sin wow somebody so that's why dinosaurs were a gospel issue for me because I believed you know if you go through the same story they believe the evolutionist believe that over billions of years of pain death and suffering created us where scripture teaches uh-uh God created it perfect and we messed it up I did I'm a sinner I'm guilty too right so believe it or not for some people dinosaurs can be an obstacle to believing in Jesus I wouldn't even open a Bible until somebody started to give you some answers okay so I thought I had a near-death experience which changed my mind okay so I gave and it was kind of interesting because I was going to God and try to bargain with him and I uh interrupted a uh gang doing a drug deal they had big guns big knives all kinds of scary stuff the Lord spared me and the guy I was with witnessed to me an old man about 80 years old and he told me the whole gospel and I had never heard that before from creation to the resurrection and Jesus is coming back that's on the drive home is when I gave up my struggle and became a believer praise God he was so merciful to me and there was so many times he saved me from physical death yeah we could go all day on that okay but I am like I said I'm grateful and I so want to spread this message because there are so many people who will not even open a Bible until they get some answers all right so that's all I have for today except for this you know 1 Peter 3:15 says always be prepared to give an answer answer all right and goes on to say but do it with what gentleness and respect now I used to always focus on the be prepared be prepared yeah I'm going to buy all these DVDs and these books and blah I'm going to be so prepared if you are giving an answer that presupposes somebody asked you a question why would they do that I didn't know I didn't look at this until my daughter who was in junior higher high school this girl goes up there and just says what is wrong with you my daughter's like what why are you so blankety blank blank blank nice and my daughter said because Jesus said I have to be who so my daughter was so different that it irritated this girl so she sought out my daughter and asked a question and then my daughter started sharing the gospel with her and this girl kept coming back time and time again to my daughter asking questions about Evolution and creation and so on but only because my daughter was loving to a person who was not so the best way to witness is to foll in the footstep of Jesus to where we're living and loving and doing our best to be you know honest authentic people and then when people come and ask that's where creation apologetics can help you but you can't lead with apologetics over the years I found it's not a head issue it's a heart issue okay got to soften the heart so I look at our ministry as kind of tilling the rocky ground if you remember the parable seeds uh Ministries like mine will till that break up that Rocky ground so that the Holy Spirit can do his work and get in with the message that people will listen to the the voice of the spirit okay all right we have a ton of books I do not want to take them home please don't make me uh they're really expensive they're free okay I want you to have these resources if you want to donate that's groovy okay but like I said as far as the books go they're free it's just our way of trying to spread the gospel Rob did you have any announcements here I can't hear you okays oh called the opsal condo what in the world is that think trailer hitch God designed this Beast that that giant massive head fits on that little ball so that it would do this you talk about engineering that structure lets him eat drink and play with his brothers and sisters you know so it's just a if you ever look at creatures including dinosaur you see evidence of design you really do okay um we have a Spinosaurus tooth claw everybody says they're afraid of T-Rex I'm not afraid of T-Rex I'm afraid of this guy he could run after you he can swim webbed feet tail moves in a way that would provide you know swimming capability yeah we have a tooth and a claw this is not a dinosaur this is a marine reptile um you you'll see on the table and when you look at that you go oh my goodness what massive creature so uh very interesting so um again between Services we will do this and I thank you for your attention God bless you thank you brother Dave and um I think we learned a lot today it was very fun and like honestly I I myself was a dinosaur skeptic um even though I believe in God with all my heart but I'm like man I mean how do PE how did a people live around them you know it almost seems like they'll just eat everybody but but you know how uh God made Adam and Eve they were the ones who were in charge of everything you know and the scary animals too including the dinosaurs um but but wow wow a lot of information I think we have a lot to uh process told you and um you know we're happy to have you and we would be glad for for you to come back and share your
