Scripture teaches that faith without works is dead. At Morning Star we seek to show the love of Christ in deed as well as word: through monthly service in our city, gatherings through the year, and the friendships we carry into our neighborhoods.

Monthly · Boise homeless shelters
Once a month, a team from Morning Star cooks and serves a full hot meal at local homeless shelters in Boise. It is humble work, done in the name of Christ, and one of the ways we live out our faith in our city. No experience is required, only willing hands.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Every Sunday · 9:00 AM, before the service
Every Sunday from 9:00, before the 9:30 worship service, we gather for a half hour of fellowship, with coffee and light refreshments such as bagels. All are welcome, guests, members, and neighbors alike, and there is no cost. We also offer free transportation from select Boise shelters for anyone who needs a ride.
More about Sunday morning →Through the year our single mothers ministry passes along free clothing and gifts to mothers raising their children alone, and when December comes there are Christmas gifts for the kids. There is no cost, and nothing is asked in return.
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
