Morning Star Christian Church is a Bible-believing church in Boise, where people of every age, every story, and every burden are met with grace, the truth of Scripture, and a place in the family of God.
Who we are and why we’re here.
Morning Star was planted in Boise to be a church home for people who never thought church was for them. We are a young church and a small one, and we believe the gospel is the power of God for salvation, in our city as in every city. So we point people to Jesus Christ, build a church family that bears one another’s burdens, and serve Boise with the same compassion the Lord has shown us.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
Mending the Broken is not a slogan. It is the Lord’s work, and it shapes all of our life together: Sunday worship, Tuesday morning Bible reading, Tuesday evening home groups, the Thursday teen and Friday youth services, every meal we share, and every neighbor we come to know. Whether you grew up in church or are walking through the door for the first time, you will find a warm welcome, faithful teaching from God’s Word, and fellowship over coffee every Sunday.

Meet our pastor.
Pastor Tim leads our teaching on Sunday mornings. If you have watched a service, you have already heard him: a message that stays close to the text of Scripture and runs about half an hour, or a conversation he leads from the front, like our Real Talk panels on marriage and relationships. He preaches plainly and without pretense, the same way he speaks with people after the service, and he is always glad to hear your story.
He does not lead alone. Morning Star is shepherded by a small leadership council, a few members who have walked together for years and share in the teaching, the pastoral care, and the decisions of the church. When you write to us with a question or a prayer request, the same people who lead on Sunday morning are the ones who will answer.

Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ is the only Lord and Savior. He is God’s Son, virgin-born, crucified for us, bodily risen, ascended, and coming again in power and glory. Salvation is found in him alone, and a real, daily relationship with him is the heart of our faith.

The church family
All true believers are one body in Christ, and we seek to live that out together. We gather for worship, share meals, pray, serve, and care for one another, and our doors are open to everyone who seeks the Lord.

Plan your first Sunday.
Join us at 9:00 AM any Sunday at 3060 Wildwood St · Boise, Idaho. Coffee and fellowship come first, and worship begins at 9:30. Here are the two questions visitors ask most often:
- Is there childcare?
- Yes. Sunday School is held during the service for children from preschool through about 5th grade. Children sit with their families for the opening songs, and then the teacher calls them to the front and walks them to their classroom as a group. They return to the sanctuary before the service ends, so you can pick them up right where you are sitting. There is nothing to sign. More about Sunday School →
- What should I wear?
- We encourage you to come in your Sunday best, whatever that looks like for you. We dress with care on Sunday out of reverence for the Lord, and we ask that everyone dress modestly.
