Why Do God's Children Suffer

e e [Music] praise God brothers and sisters and good morning um I'd like to read from Psalm 103: 8-12 the Lord is compassionate and gracious slow to anger abounding in love he will not not always accused nor will he Harbor his anger forever he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities for as high as the heavens are above the Earth so great is his love for those who fear Him as far as the East is from the West so far has he removed our transgressions from us we can see God's nature here um you know he's very compassionate and gracious and slow to anger and we see this many times throughout the Bible you know uh for example with the Jews when they're going from Egypt you know into the desert and stuff like that God is very patient but he's also he's also just and he does punish uh the right times but he's also uh very merciful and forgiving and his love is also unfailing um so that being said let's stand up today and let's pray for this service Lord God we thank you for this day that you given us Lord in this morning God and we ask you Lord bless the service God fill this place the Holy Spirit Lord speak through the word today Lord help us to learn something God and to leave this place filled with more information God and so we could serve you even more than we did previously Lord may your Mighty and holy name be praised on high Lord read a quick Bible verse and that's going to be in Isaiah 41:10 it says here fear not for I am with you be not dismayed for I am your God I will strengthen you I will help you I will uphold you with my righteous right hand praise God and I also want to announce program for this uh service and we're going to have brother Tim uh singing a song and then right after that he's also going to be saying [Music] my [Music] fears how preious is that [Music] Grace appear the are i f [Music] through many ders soul and scares we have [Music] already come was Grace had brought us save thus far and Grace will lead us whole [Music] and Grace when [Music] us praise God praise God my dear friends it's good to see everybody here this morning you know God has given us another opportunity to gather together and at the end of the service we're going to have something special um uh we're going to have time that we can go downstairs and there will be some some time to to mingle uh some tea and Emma she she made some some small bites with some dessert so we're going to also continue our service even after service but um I'm going to be continuing my topic God is love um and this part three is God is love through pain and suffering you know it's interesting because not only I would say unbelievers like struggle with this question but also many Believers ask the same question if God is love why is there so much suffering so uh just a short weup of last week uh we talked about the origin of sin and that that happened in Genesis 3 where Adam and Eve disobeyed God and with that disob obedience sin and evil came into man into the picture in Romans 5:12 like it also talked about how sin came through one man's Disobedience which we know is Adam and sin tagged along with it death and now because of sin we all die you know the the the deception of Satan is to play to blame God for all of your in my suffering to blame God which we saw last week that God he was actually trying to prevent man from sin so this week we will be speaking like I said through pain and suffering God still is true to his character he is love what we all need to know is that we have a good God but the devil does not want us to know that therefore he has I would say a large um campaign out there not only to to deceive Humanity but to even deceive us who accepted Jesus actually his Target is on us he already has those people that that are walking the Wicked Ways he already has them he doesn't care about them they're already in his I would say toolbox to be used against uh this world and creating evil but his Target is specifically on us God's children and his main goal is to deceive Adam and Eve were created in God's image and who was the target who was the serpent targeting it was the ones who have never sinned Adam and Eve so my dear friends the Devil he's going to always try to attack us he's going to always try to take us down he's going to always to the end of our life try to deceive us when Jesus when Jesus lived 33 years the entire time the devil was trying to deceive Christ and we know that story where where uh Jesus Jesus was in the desert and he was being tempted but then all the way to his death on the cross the devil was trying to have him obey him the the Devil by saying come down from that cross if you are the son Son of God but we know Christ he did not do as the devil said he hung up on that cross till the end because he knew the sacrifice he had to make in order to save the wicked which was once you and me you know I I heard a story I'm not sure if this is a true story I'm not sure if this man had a dream or if it's just a story that somebody made up but uh so so this man he like he gets uh taken up into heaven and the the the angel is like showing him heaven and he's flying around and just there's this like peace and there's this calm um and there's this Joy and the the the like Angel is like showing him how nice Heaven is and then the angel shows him hell and he and he opens the door and there's this room and uh people are um playing chess and smoking cigars and drinking and having a blast playing cards and this man is like hey this looks fun this is this is my type this is where I want to be and the angel is like oh okay sweet and so he and so he opens the the the actual Door to Hell like and then that man sees the screaming the yelling the blood the Flesh and the angel says okay go on this is what you chose and this man is like no no no no I didn't choose that I chose this I want to live this kind of life like and the angel tells him oh well they didn't tell you this is just a showroom this is just just a showroom to lure you in to lure you in and how we see this showroom so active the Glam and the glare the the sparkling in our eyes the the sweet to our tongue all the sins of this world is all a showroom but the actual result we know is pain and suffering you know the devil he doesn't come scary the Bible says he comes as an angel of Light he's a deceiver he is a Deceiver and he wants to deceive you in me so we have to not only stand strong but we also have to tell those that are dying in this world that God loves you and that he wants you to repent God's love is towards his creation but God's hate is towards the sin let's not get that confused us even through all the pain and the suffering that we see God is still true to his character how do we know that how do we know God is love let's open up to Genesis 6 and you can decide for yourself if this is a character of Love six like we'll be reading five and six then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was was huge in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually and the Lord was sorry that he made man on the earth and he was grieved grieved in his heart God was grieving gev D how can somebody that doesn't care grieve it does not happen like that usually when somebody cares when usually somebody sees someone in pain it hurts them and what we see is that God Grieves evil people rejoice when evil is committed they laugh about it they joke about it they get a pleasure from Evil that's their character but we see God's character is the opposite he sees man committing evil continually and his character is I am sad to see that my creation is dying is being deceived you know to me it doesn't sound like a god that doesn't care it sounds like a a loving God that really cares and wants his creation to enjoy yet his creation chose to grieve to be in pain and to suffer you know people constantly hurt each other they cheat they steal they kill they live Wicked lives and you would think that that Humanity seen what's happening in their time after 8,000 years would somehow learn their lesson would somehow evolve into better people but what do we see here sin does not ever evolve into something of light it always evolves into darkness even worse that is why we cannot expect peace on Earth that is why we cannot we cannot expect heaven on Earth because sin Reigns this Earth but God has a plan God has a plan God created man with a will we know Adam and Eve they had a choice they had a choice to eat from that tree or not we talked about it last week God did not create man as robots he he does not make anybody love him he gives everybody a choice to love him and this is a choice that that each one of us and who's ever watching us online has to make are we going to obey him or disobey him because if God made somebody love him that would not be true love love has to be a choice we choose to love those that we want to spend the rest of our time the rest of our life with we choose and God wants us to choose to love him let's look at the definition of sin sin is an immoral and immoral act considered to be a transgression against Divine Law you know it's funny because uh like every time I I start speaking English in front of a lot of people I I have this huge accent I don't get it myself I can hear it too and I'm like what is wrong with me because when I talk with my friends I'm all fine you know I have a right so I have an accent in Russian that when I talk to Russian people they're like what what are you speaking I'm like Russian they're like no no no so um so yeah I guess that's my sinful nature that I need to overcome but anyways sin is an immoral act considered to be a transgression against the Divine Law the Divine Law Giver is God he set the standard of what is evil and what is good how do we know know when something is evil who told you who told that that man that doesn't believe in God that something is evil how do we know what Hitler did killing millions of Jews was evil how do we know that what if it was good how do we know that stealing cheating abusing murdering is evil maybe it's not not bad how do we know who told you that the world no the world is not the one who set the standard of evil and good because the world progresses in evil knowing that it's committing evil we know that God set the standard he set the standard with the Ten Commandments then Jesus came and set a standard above that but but let's look at some of the Commandments let's see if they're bad or good for example the teaches you shall not murder okay so so now we know Murder is evil why why is murder evil well murder is evil because it takes someone's life that you did not create nor did I but also the consequences are not just taking that person's life now that person's wife is suffering his children are suffering they're in pain now you made yourself enemies now they want to to do harm to you and on and on the consequences of murder and God saw that and he he said that is evil bam that's the standard honor your uh parents is that bad of course it's not to honor is to show high respect to your elders and to your parents your parents are not perfect people and some even give bad advice but to show respect you have to you don't have to do what they say when they give you bad advice like when I heard uh one of my very good friends um that that passed away back and um he said that his dad you know told him to to have as many women as he can because he only lives once and so he did and he came to to the point where he wanted to commit suicide because he saw that that's not where happiness is you know but even though of that bad advice the son has to respect the parents because when a son or daughter is able to obey their parents and they are able to obey the higher Authority who is God if we cannot respect our parents we will not be able to respect God because he put that higher authority in our life you shall not commit adultery why is this something God wants us to avoid because what do we see the consequences of adultery now kids are growing up without a father they don't have a father so they're growing up they hate their dad they hate their mom they're angry and with that anger they commit things they shouldn't and God sees that and he says this is not good for you the Ten Commandments was was not law to to hurt us it was actually laws to make us live a happy life some books say 10 ways to become successful 10 ways to to live a a happy life well the 10 commandments are 10 rules how to live a happy life if you don't follow them you will not live a happy life and we know that man could not follow it because man was wicked God again was trying to show his love that guys I want you to be happy but the wickedness in man could not let's let's open up to Genesis 3:16 and 20 and this is already after Adam and Eve disobeyed God this is already after sin came in and this is already God speaking to the woman he said I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception in pain you shall bring forth children your desire shall be for your husband and he shall rule over you then to Adam he said because you have heated your wife and have eaten from the Tree of which I commanded you saying you shall not eat of it cursed is the ground for your sake in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life both thorn titles they shall bring forth for you and you shall eat the herb of the field and the in the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground for out of it you are taken for dust you are and to dust you shall return what do we see here we see here sin caused the humanity to feel the first pain before that there was no pain in pain you shall bring forth children that's the part where we hear about pain sin caused us to toil toil is another word to suffer toil and suffer are interchangeable words cursed is the ground for your sake and toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life sin caused us to die in The Sweat bre of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground what we see here is the three words Pain Suffer and death that is the three things that tag along whoever follows the devil that is why we need Our Redeemer to redeem us from our evil self and to transform us into people who love God by choice not by force and what happens next Genesis 4 Cain kills his brother Abel Cain leaves he departs his a grandson his name is lamech also kills a man lamech says in Genesis 423 then lamech said to his wives aah and Zilla hear my voice wives of lamech listen to my speech for I have killed the man for for wounding me for wounding me you see there there was an altercation there was an altercation people they're they're already angry they're ready to fight they're ready to kill murder upon murder we we see the start of evil unfolding in and showing its true ugly colors it's it's the showroom it's the showroom to this day the glitter the Glam that Satan is trying to offer to us and to so many people out there but it leads to hell then it gets so bad that in Genesis 611 it says the Earth was was uh corrupt before God and the Earth was filled with evil and violence so God looked upon the Earth and indeed it was corrupt for All Flesh had corrupted their way on the earth and God said to Noah the end of All Flesh has come before me for the Earth is filled with violence through them and behold I will destroy them with the Earth here God makes an emphasis on who is the cause of the evil and violence he says the end of All Flesh has come before me for the Earth is filled with violence through them through the flesh through man and you know and God saw that the evil was so rampant yet he did not destroy the Earth yet shown once again God's love that he is patient in his love to save he sends Noah to preach it says in 2 Peter 2:5 2 Peter 2:5 and did not spare the ancient world that's God but saved Noah one of the eight people a preacher of righteousness bringing the flood on the world of the ungodly over here we see Noah was a preacher of righteousness God sent Noah out to preach just in case one more Soul could be saved is that hate giving people so many chances to repent they were saying that Noah was building that Ark for 75 years for 75 years Noah was knocking on the people's doors and hearts saying repent is that hate that is love that is Pati patient love once again God proves his love towards us you know we were all born Sinners and we all needed a redeemer you know I don't know what I did when I was one and a half years old but I know my daughter my daughter uh Chloe she's one years old and 3 months and my computer is open it's on the couch and she's all trying to get on the couch you know and I'm and I'm just looking at her you know and then she gets on the couch and she comes to the computer and she's banging on my keys and I'm like no Chloe no and she's like looking at me you know and then she takes my screen she's doing this I'm like Chloe no and she's like and I'm like you know what I'm not going to say no I'm just going to turn away and act like I don't see her let me see how that works so I turn away and she's baning and she's baning and she's and she's laughing and she and she sees that I'm not looking at her and it doesn't interest her anymore because she wants to do bad and she stops and this is our nature my dear friends that's why we all need a God because in our nature it is to do bad but we need a redeemer and we see that happen God gives his final push his final chance to redeem people to Salvation to to have people turn away from their wickedness God tried so hard so many years so many many lifetimes but Man became worse and worse and then grieving God is grieving him he's in pain I don't know if he cries but he could be crying he is grieving and he says I need to do something so he shows the ultimate love the ultimate love and that's written in in John 3:16 for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever accepts him shall not perish but have eternal life or believes in him over here we see for God so loved the world not just not just Humanity but the world his creation he loved in six days every time he was created and he says it is good he loved his creation for God so loved the world including Humanity that he gave his one and only son he didn't have two or three sons he had one one more chance and he sends him to die and pay the price for our sins mine and yours that whoever believes in him shall not not perish but have eternal life this right here is God's promise to everybody who believes in him this is the promise of God and this is his last call he has no more there is no more after this one because God knows wickedness is rampant and it has to come to the end and those who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved they will not perish like the wicked they will not perish with the wicked they will be saved and have life with the righteous my dear friends to conclude this message we see that evil pain and suffering did not come from God the one to blame for this all was the serpent who received our ancestors Adam and Eve but the blame game is not going to change anything for us because we have all sinned you me and millions of people out there but one man can change everything in our lives his name is Jesus Christ you know I mean I know everybody here but those who are watching us I don't know who's watching but if you if you are a person who blame God for your suffering and for your pain know that he loves you he's he sees your struggle and he sees your hurt but he wants you to turn to him he shows his love throughout the Bible from the beginning to the end that he loves you and he wants you to accept Jesus Christ but the choice is yours to make he doesn't Force you he doesn't program you he wants you to choose him give your life to him the same way he gave his life for you and with these words I would like us to pray amen e and we'll be singing a song by the name of like eagles [Music] oh my soul do you not know have you not heard it's been told from the beginning the Lord your God is on your side oh my Soul Don't Be Afraid hope in the Lord by his rightousness and power he will strengthen he will go and I will s on wngs like eagles by the hand of God I will run and I'll grow tired when on his name I call for the Lord is never wey his way are beyond my thoughts I will trust in him with all my heart [Music] oh my soul do you not know have you not heard it's been told from the beginning the Lord your God is on your side oh my soul don't be afraid open in the Lord by his rightousness and power he will strengthen he will guide and I will soar on wings like eagles H by the hand of God I will run and not grow TI when onest name my call for the Lord is never wey his ways are beyond my thoughts I will trust in him with all my heart I will trust in him with all my heart [Music] I feel like I'm the only one on stage and maybe the worship team but um our service came to to an end and uh next week we'll be listening why do uh Christians or God's people still suffer in and have pain but uh that's going to be for next week and for today after this uh prayer we're going to go downstairs our uh girls uh prepared something sweet for us not sinful but it does uh packing some calories um so so we're going to come down and we're going to have a good time um like only one request is that keep the food and the drinks down down there please don't bring the please don't bring it up here and that said uh
