Love Thy: God as the One True Love

praise God brothers and sisters sers I'd like to read from Colossians 3: 16 let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms hymns and songs from the spirit singing to God with gratitude in your hearts and I'd kind of like to break down this verse really quickly so it says here let the message of Christ dwell among you richly and for us that's to immerse ourselves in Christ teachings and to study the scripture and going on it says as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and you know that's to share knowledge within our congregation and to guide each other wisely but by what is written in the Bible and then reading on it says through psalms hymns and songs from The Spirit uh you know singing songs using Spiritual music to be inspired by the spirit and reading on again singing to God with gratitude in your hearts so doing all of that while being thankful and singing with complete gratitude so let's do that today and let's stand and pray for the service Lord God we thank you for this time that you given us today Lord and we ask you lord to bless the service God fill it with the Holy Spirit Lord help us to hear what you're trying to say to us today God help us to learn from it Lord and to walk in your ways God as it says in your scripture Lord help us to be guided by this Lord in Jesus name we worship His name and praise His name and uh I just want to read a quick Bible verse and that's going to be in Psalms 46 and it says here God is our refuge we will not fear though the Earth give way started you know young you know maybe sometimes afraid while not sometimes all the time but then you come to the moment where you get older and you're like why am I scared it's okay um well we're going to be starting a series today and it's going to be like I named it love thy the Bible it talks about many love thy you know like love thy God love your enemies love your friends or brothers and what we realize the reason why the Bible wants us to love thy is because that's what Jesus did for us he loved his enemies he he loved his brothers his friends and as we read he loved God the father and today I'm going to be I guess going into my my introduction and what we realize is that the only love the only love that exists is God all the love that is beyond that is not true love and we will go through this this topic together and we will dissect and um we will learn and see that God is the true love these days what we see is that love it's twisted it's it's twisted and the the deception that Satan is pushing through um like into our say into our youth into like into our young through many churches a love that is not God's a love that is preached where we can all kind of maybe already like we heard this before but like a love that is said you can live a sinful life and be saved we know that that's a love that's not biblical and we'll be talking about that as well there's a deception that has been actually splitting many churches um and just recently I believe uh the the Methodist Church it's their their organization or whatever it's split because some like a accept the the new the new age love which like is defined by the LGBT community you know and so so a lot of churches are actually splitting because some believe that only God is love While others are defining love for themselves and like I see this as a huge deception that's coming into our churches and if we are not careful if we are not careful we can fall into thinking that love is absolutely conditional to to everyone and anything including sin if God is love there can only be one love there can only be one love where love comes through in the Bible in many areas shows us that there's only one love and that is God there was there was a little uh girl that was adopted and uh she she lived in a kids shelter for some time and I'm not quite sure what happened to her parents but but new parents adopted her and the reporter you know know comes and he's all smiling and he's all excited and he's like what do you want your like your new parents to to do for you you know like and he's kind of thinking you know maybe take her to Disneyland and stuff like that and she puts her head down and she just says I want to be loved you know people are actually not complicating we all want to be loved we would rather be loved than somebody giving us gifts and not loving us I would rather have my my kids love me rather than disobey me talk negative things about me but then like help me in the garden I'd rather have them love because love is so much more close to us than Deeds you know there was there was a young entrepreneur anyways I got injured so I had a lot of time on my hands yeah um there was this young entrepreneur and he's uh you know this young guy he's like full of energy and and he's like interviewing this super wealthy like older gentleman and like he asked him like you know you have everything you're are very wealthy I mean his office was probably like half the size of this church building I mean it was massive and and he was Su and he was or is successfully married and successfully raised his kids to be successful you know and so this young guy asked asks him what is the one thing that you would recommend to my audience because he's a YouTuber and so he has like subscribers and he kind of thinks about it like and he says you know I would recommend to to every person entrepreneur businessman successful or not to where your kids tell you that they love you even when they are adults you know he's like luckily my kids they tell me that you know when when they come over to my house and when we have a gathering and and like when everybody's leaving and they and they say love you Dad he's like that completes me not their success not what they're doing with their life but the fact that they know that I know that they love me you know he's like I have many friends who are wealthy but to get their wealth they turn their backs on the ones who love them the most and now they are not there and these people are the saddest people that I know and he's like I would recommend that if you are seeking success make sure that you never forget those that are closest to you you know people want to be loved it doesn't matter if you live in a jungle those those Indians you know running around with their Spears D this day surprisingly there is or if you're the wealthiest man in the world like Elon Musk everybody wants to be loved you know like a lot of these I'll say like wealthy people like you see you know he's divorced getting married again then divorced then getting married again he's looking for love he's looking for somebody that will stay with him and love him and so is she well sometimes sometimes it's for the money but you know that's the thing people they look for love because that's the only thing that actually completes us as we know the the wealthiest people are the saddest people in the world what we receive from this world will never satisfy us yeah it gives us joy for a little bit but like like we were just talking me and me Zach and and Pastor Henry it's like it doesn't matter what you get you get used to it you get used to it but the one thing that you can never get used to is when you feel loved it always brings you Joy you know when my kids they kiss me on the cheek or they say Papa I love you you know from a hard day it becomes beautiful and God teaches us that he loves us not that we loved him but he loved us first and I want to open up this message well I I guess already opened it up but with 1 John 48 and over here it says anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love and and also John John uh 3:16 I'm just going to read just in the beginning for God so loved the world you know God shows his love at the highest level God chose His love in such a way that Humanity cannot show it without loving God and how did God show it by giving his only son as a sacrifice for those who loved him no for those who didn't I mean like how do you how do you have so much love that you know that your enemies hate you they turn away from you in your send in your only son the only one you have as a sacrifice to just in case hoping that the people realize that they need him that's a gamble that's that's that's huge and yet God showed his love at the highest level you know it's it's pretty interesting because I uh there's so many young people so many young people and they and they all say the same thing if God is love why is there so much evil in this world if God is love why is there so much pain and suffering in this world well I got to say one thing God himself went through the pain and suffering so he could love the world so if you're talking about pain and suffering God's the first one to know that you know God equals love love equals God it's one word you can't separate it God sets the standard of love love didn't exist after this world was created love already existed before everything was created love existed when God existed that's who he is that's his character and that character he's trying to instill into us because how do you love your enemy the one who's destroying your loved ones the one who want to destroy you how do you love them you know like our church has been through all a lot and um like when you see the the the mothers you know going their kids going through something that um say their kids are suffering it affects more the the parents because the parents they they love their kids and they don't want to see them hurt and it hurts them when they see that somebody is trying to hurt their child yet God teaches to love those unconditionally those ones that that are hurting because that's what God had to endure that is exactly what God had to endure you know in the Bible it talks about God turning away or when Jesus was hanging on the cross and Jesus is like Lord why have you forsaken me you know and there's there's debates you know going on that you know it's because the like all the sins were laid on the shoulder of Christ and God couldn't look at that and that could be the case but I'm like man like I have one son you know and to give him up like and see him tortured me as a father I couldn't look at that God was going through such pain seeing his only son being beaten and tortured I think God couldn't look at that yet God knew that that's the only way people will stop heart loving me that's the only way you know there's there's though that there's all the time people try to find every fault in God why he is not love you know and I'll tell you this the he for sure has a good campaign at there advertising campaign super good so good that the Bible says that if God didn't shorten the days nobody would be saved I mean I have it written down here but it's it's later on I mean that's a good campaign to deceive so well that God had to shorten the days just so his elect wouldn't be deceived you know God he really cares about us he really loves us he loves us so much that he wants to make sure that the devil he he doesn't deceive you he's like he's like a mother that that is around her children when she sees a threat and sometimes we kids we're pushing our mother away because we want to go out there into the world not seeing that right in front there's cars driving by at 100 Mil an hour actually with my little one I mean the cars weren't driving that fast but my heart almost stopped you know she just runs out we're holding her and she just runs out and as a parent you you don't care if the car hits to you or anything as long as your child is fine that's how God is that is exactly how God is he's protecting us he wants us to be saved he's given all he has and yet we sometimes wonder if God loves us let's open up to Romans 58 Romans 58 but God CHS his love for us and that while we were still sinners Christ died for us I mean if this is not love why would somebody die for their enemies tell me if you know an instance in this world where somebody went and died for their enemies we know the opposite we know that uh it's instilled where we kill our enemies that's why there's murders everybody has their enemy everybody has their enemy you know countries War because they have enemies but people have their enemies too you know you hear somebody murdering another person over $10 over $10 they're sitting in prison their entire life because he PID back his enemy you know but God's love teaches us differently you know like over here the word Sinners it actually refers to enemies sin and sin is an enemy of God and like it in other uh translation where it shows shows it also means approved so so if we swap out those two words in Romans 58 we read it like this but God proved his love for us and that while we were still enemies Christ died for us this love is above all loves to die for your enemies that's something that the world will never understand but those who love God understand see God's God's love is not like a short-term love he has a long-term plan he has a plan that um like if he gives his son for a sacrifice then people will start accepting him and come to Christ or come to God through Christ so God has a long-term plan you know it's um I was kind of like thinking the the Bible is like it's uh I would compare it to a love story it's a literal Love Story from the beginning to the end because because when we see God's creation when he created he said and it is good it is good he loved what he created and so the Bible starts with with human Humanity in the likeness of God's image he didn't he didn't make Humanity in the likeness of an alien nor of an animal in the likeness of His Image he created us and so then like when we go all the way to the end of the Bible to revelation we see that that image that he created is getting married with his son Christ you know I think most of us love a good love story you know and when I got married I had to uh join my wife in um you know watching romance movies before I was just all you know action even sometimes my wife is like let's watch this I'm like is there guns no but uh you know and every Romance movie has the same plot but but it's always a surprise it's like oh yes he got her you know and it starts usually with the man I'll just say Jack or whatever Jack and he's chasing this girl and Laura you know he's chasing Laura and Laura is like ew you know no but he loves her you know and he's and he's chasing her and she's running away and in between this this plot say Suzanne comes into the picture who loves Jack but Suzanne is not that good and he knows that Laura is not giving him any attention so he kind of starts like warming up you know and then Laura seeing like oh no I'm going to lose him she starts actually giving him attention long story short short Jack gets Laura because that's the one he was chasing you know when we look at the Bible it's a literal example of the greatest love story to ever exist because God is preparing a certain Bride for his son and in between that the devil is trying to ruin it he's trying to ruin the plan of God and like in every romance there's ups and downs and we see a lot of ups and downs in the Bible a lot because people they're always chasing or like running away from Jesus and so God he's working very hard to prepare this Perfect unblemished Bride for his son you know to say that God is not love I guess if you don't love him you won't understand because God is the ultimate example of love he is the ultimate example of love how do you love so much that not only your like you give up your only son to die on the cross for your enemies but you still haven't destroyed this earth look how much they mocked you look how much they spit at you look how much persecution there's going on where Christians are dying for the name of the Lord God is patiently waiting that those enemies would one day turn to him that's a patient love to to see all of that to be in pain just just hoping that one day these people will start accepting Jesus you know I'm going to I'm going to leave it out there but you know my dear friends I'll say that if if somebody comes up to you and tells you how is God love when there's so many so much evil in this world you know how because of us there's so much evil not because of him he didn't die just for for himself or to show that he's a tough guy he died because we are the ones causing all the issues in this earth God created a perfect Earth in Earth where everybody should love each other in Earth where nobody should die but say my friend me and you are the problem not God God is pure love and may we learn how to love each other the way he loved us let's pray amen e amen and we're possibly going to have a QR code posted up here but I'm going to read a Bible verse from Deuteronomy 88:18 and here it says but remember the Lord your God for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth and if the Lord has put on your heart to give to our church we do a a lot of Outreach and we're trying to build on that so if you could bless us uh with anything um that will be a very we'll be very grateful for it um also we'll be singing a
