Jesus, Fully God and Fully Man

praise God brothers and sisters I'd like to start the service by reading from Galatians 6: 7-10 do not be deceived God is Not mocked for whatever one SWS that will he also reap for the one who SWS to his own flesh Will from The Flesh reap corruption but the one who SS to the spirit will from the spirit reap eternal life and let us not grow weary of doing good for in due season we will reap if we do not give up so then as we have opportunity let us do good to everyone and especially to those who are of the household of faith so there are a few points that I I kind of saw in this verse uh and the first is God's law cannot be mocked um and our actions they lead to corresponding results and everyone is responsible for their choices and we also have to do good to reap blessings because wrongdoings bring harm so uh with that being said let's stand up and let's pray for this service Lord God we thank you for this morning you've given us Lord we ask you God bless the service Lord bless the preaching bless the singing Lord we ask you fill us with the Holy Spirit God speak to our hearts Lord may we leave not empty-handed but filled with the spirit and with new knowledge Lord God and with a new breath Lord in Jesus name we pray amen good morning church it's glad to be I'm glad to be back we're going to be singing count your blessings um name them one by [Music] one when upon life's Billows you are Tempest TOS when you are discouraged thinking All Is Lost count your many blessings name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord had done count your blessings the cross seem heavy you are called to Bear count your many blessings every doubt will fly and you will keep singing as the days go by count your blessings name them one by one count your blessings and winter spring time and harest sun moon and stars and their fores above join with all nature in many B witness to thy great faithfulness mercy and love Great Is Thy Faithfulness Great Is Thy today and bright for [Music] tomorrow blessings oh mind with 10,000 Great Is Thy Faithfulness Great Is Thy Faithfulness morning by morning to mercies th see all I have needed I and has provided Great Is Thy Faithfulness Lord unto me good morning everybody for we're finally back feel like it's been a long time but praise God but we're in the house of the Lord and we're here to worship His name and glorify his name and um I'm going to read a Bible verse in Ephesians 4:32 and it says here be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other just as Christ uh just as in Christ God forgave you praise God and I also want to announce our program for this morning uh we will have Daniel sing a song for us and then right after that we will have brother Tim sing a word for us God bless [Music] well praise God good job on your song it was wonderful you know it's um it's beautiful to to see how you know um we're not perfect even though we try to make everything perfect but Lord uh sometimes show that we're still human and you know I uh I've been thinking that Christmas it's it's a it's a beautiful holiday it's a beautiful holiday and after the the um the day that it's it's over it's like really ringing Matthew it's yeah then then all the songs stop singing of of Christmas and everybody kind of stops talking about it but you know I would like to continue the holiday I'd like to continue the holiday because we cannot I believe forget you know the birth of Christ it's a it's a holiday that can be celebrated all year and uh brother Doug like he was uh preaching on this topic so I'll continue his message but as well as I'll continue my message that I was speaking on uh the the day when we had our Christmas night so I'll be continuing our message but I want to ask you a question and uh we'll see if if you know the answer to it is Jesus God or man you know uh um amen there we go and that's exactly how I have it he is both he is God man um you know this is actually very important to know [Music] because like a lot of religions they they believe he's either just man no God um or there's those that believe he is God and man and that makes a big difference in who we believe because if we put our trust in just man that's that's not going to hold water because all man uh the Bible says are short of the glory of God and today I'm going to talk about without the Bible saying that he is God how do we know that Jesus was God or is God and um in uh Hebrews chapter 4 even though it says that for for we have not a high priest who is unable to to empathize with our weaknesses but we have one who has been tempted in every way just as we are yet he did not sin so just because he was God doesn't mean that he was not tempted and today when when we are tempted when we are struggling Jesus knows that Jesus knows that struggle Jesus knows that Temptation and when we turn to him he is able to give us the right I would say path out or strength to overcome that's why knowing that Jesus is God man even though he experiences everything we currently experience in our life yet he has the answers the key to all our problems you know if if Jesus never experienced what we are going through then what kind of advice can he give us right if I didn't experience your struggle and you come to me say maybe you lost a loved one and you come to me and you tell me Tim what should I do what do I need to do I mean I can tell you what to do from my mind but I will never understand your pain because I myself didn't go through that but Jesus went through all of that that's why he can answer all of our struggles and all of our pains and sometimes like we say God like we don't see you we don't see you I'm praying to you you I'm going through this but the way God works is he puts it in your mind he puts it in your heart do it this way and so over here we know that even though Jesus was God but he was also man that experienced everything we're going through and that's why it's it's so amazing that we can turn to that God man we can turn to him with our struggles and with our pains because he totally understands you totally understands you I would like for us to open to Isaiah chapter 9 Isaiah chapter 9 and I'll be reading verses 6 and 7 For unto us a child is given born unto us a son is given and the government will be upon his shoulder and his name will be called wonderful counselor Mighty God Everlasting father Prince of Peace For unto us a child a child child this this reflects the the humanity of Christ a child is born but then it says For unto us a son is given why would the prophecy of Isaiah repeat itself For unto us a Man Has Come For unto us a man is given because For unto us a son is given that's the Son of God that's God so over here Isaiah's prophecy was prophesied 700 years before the birth of Christ 700 years you know sometimes um in our life there's we hear a prophecy sees and a month later it doesn't come true we're like that guy is false false prophet I mean Isaiah was dead long time ago but this prophecy came true 700 years and it's it's also just shows us how God has his perfect timing God he's he's not not a God where he always hurries you know me me I have a weakness where I like to to sometimes hurry or I like to get things done right away and it actually sometimes bites me because I'm not patient I want things done and over here we see 700 years and Jesus comes it's been prophesied through Isaiah and there was after Isaiah uh Jeremiah and habac and and Obadiah all these prophets and then 700 years later Jesus comes but over here we see that for a child will be born to us shows the humanity of Jesus a son will be given to us Reveals His Godlike character I'm not going to explain the the rest uh Pastor Henry he's been uh preaching on this topic but I just want to show to us that the reason why we celebrate who we celebrate you know there's there's been great men in this world very great man I mean Pres presidents Joe Biden Donald Trump who of us celebrates their uh birthday I don't even know when they were born I don't even know who and and when they celebrate yes they're successful yes they're influential but they are just the same as you and me they all need Jesus Christ you know and and yes we can celebrate you know just to support just say good job but we know that Jesus is not just a man he is something more he is something more and over here he reveals in John 8 he says before Abraham was I am the word I am only God uses God he says I am that's his name and over here in John 8 when Jesus was arguing with the teachers back in the day they were saying oh Abraham is my father or like my my descendant and they were trying to struggle with Jesus and Jesus is like listen before Abraham was I am meaning that I never had a beginning I was always here it's just this time I chose to come in flesh you know sometimes I wonder why did God not come as himself why did he have to come in flesh remember when Moses went up to that mountain and he couldn't even look at God God had to turn back just so Moses can be in his uh presence not even the the pastors or those holy people they didn't even want to go to that mountain because they were afraid they were going to die so if God came in his holy in his Holiness onto this world the way he is I don't think any of us would be alive that's why he had to come in flesh he had to reveal himself in flesh just so he can dwell with us well that's just I guess one of my [Music] thinking because because it makes sense that if if nobody can stand before God he would have to come in a different form to be around us and to dwell with us what are some of the the stories that we read in the Bible where Jesus Christ he reveals himself as God you know sometimes I wonder I'm like what if God came and was dwelling around us would we notice him would we notice him him what if there was a man doing Miracles that we have never seen would we notice him as God I think we would all be just like the disciples and the apostles they knew this man was special they knew this man was special but they thought that he was just a prophet or a son of the Living God not God himself but over here I just want to kind of share with you a couple of the places because it it made more clear to me when when I started pondering on these thoughts that wow Jesus is the actual God he is the actual God and remember that that story when Jesus walks on water you know you know Jesus walks on water and all the all the uh disciples are on the boat and they see this man walking on water and they thought at first it was just a dream they thought they were hallucinating but my question to you is when you being a Christian man or woman of Christ stand into the water do you sink in or do you walk we see that even the greatest man and wom of God when they entered the water if you ain't swimming then you're drowning but Jesus walked on water why because in the beginning God created and over there that God is the word and the word is Jesus Christ he was the one who created that water so when he came down from heaven all creation knew that their creator has come their God has entered the world and all creation knew that they obey him except man man was the only I would say human that did not know it was God himself that came into the world and and so we over we see over here Jesus walking on water because he's the one who created that water that water obeys him well what about that story where Jesus calms the storm remember that story when all the disciples are in that uh ship and there's this huge storm that comes from the sea and the waves it said and the waves are crashing over over the boat this was written in Matthew 1422 they were crashing over the boat and all the disciples they were panicking they were saying what should we do what should we do they didn't know what to do but when they go down they see Jesus sleeping how can a man sleep when there's a storm going on around him because when you know you are the creator of something and that creation obeys you you can sleep that creation did not obey the disciples they could pray for the St the storm to stop they could yell at the storm but it wouldn't stop because they did not create it but when Jesus said to the storm stop calm down what did the storm do it obeyed him it obeyed the creator of the storm it obeyed him my dear friends there's there's many more I say testimonies we see in the Bible the bush that that that withered or or many other stories and it just shows that the creation the creation itself knew who came to this world it accepted him with open arms it obeyed him because it because he was God and today we are serving that Living God we are love lucky to serve a living God how lucky we are to have God in us how lucky is that how blessed are we to know that we are saved because he came unto this world he had to come for us to be saved salvation is through Jesus and Jesus alone the Bible says and like we read in Matthew chapter 1 Matthew chapter 1 and it gives couple names of Jesus over here it gives a couple names it says over here um I'll read from 20 but while he thought but while he thought about these things behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying that's to to Joseph Joseph son of David do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit and she will bring forth a son and you shall call his name Jesus for he will save his people from their sins so all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet Isaiah which we just read and over here it says and they shall call his name Emmanuel which is translated God with us so brother Doug he was mentioning last time the the the meanings of the names for Jesus and over here one of the meanings is one of the names is Jesus and then we see another name it's Emmanuel Jesus it stands for Savior and the Bible it it clearly states his Mission his mission was to save the people from their sins he was the Savior to save us so we don't have to perish just like many many many many people are perishing today and unlike any human goals Jesus lived with the i say his goal in life you know like sometimes we plan things like I want to when I grow up I want to be a doctor when I grow up I want to be a nurse when I grow up I want to do this but Jesus knew that when he is going to grow up he's going to have to die he knew that and that was his goal and that was his mission in life to save us through his death and my dear friends may we understand may we understand what Jesus did for us and what his coming into this Earth has done for you and me his whole mission was to save you and me was to save you and me because we were going to die and perish but through him we have salvation and it was not just an ordinary man it was God himself and over here it also says Emmanuel God's desire was to always want to dwell with men and the way he this time he could dwell is when he was in flesh and when we're going to dwell with him in heaven the Bible says we're going to have new bodies new bodies and there's going to be a new place for us and he's doing all of this for us not because like me say not because he had to but because he chose to he loved his creation from the beginning of the world and he loved you and me to the point that he came the god the king King the Creator suffered on that cross that was his whole mission while people were guessing and marveling at the Miracles he was doing he knew his mission in life at the age of 6 7 10 12 15 20 30 he knew his future while everybody is planning their careers everybody's planning their marriages their kids are growing up but the mission of Christ he knew through him is salvation for all of us and may we always celebrate his birth because God came and died for us and let's pray amen Men on [Music] Earth well our service has come to the end and um I'd like for all of us to stand uh beautiful song Daniel thank you um you know there's a lot of people that are sick uh brother Zach called this morning that they're all coughing uh we'll uh pray for Doug brother Doug he's in the hospital still right is he in the yeah he's in the hospital so did they decide if they're going to do a surgery or okay okay okay well we're uh praying for him and I know that there's a lot of coughing going along and um I heard from some people they've been uh throwing up all week I I don't know what is going on but we're going to pray for God to to have a protection upon all of us and may He heal those that are sick amen let's pray Lord God we thank you for this wonderful time that you give us Lord for all your blessings Lord God and for your message Lord that was spoken today Lord may we all understand God that that your coming Lord God was was wonderful was big Lord God was huge was more than we can imagine Lord God and we are thankful that we know now Lord after reading the scriptures that it was you God who came and we thank you for that God but we also are praying for those who are sick we know that you are a Healer Lord God and we're praying for uh Zach and his children and his wife Lord God they got sick may you heal them may you uh bless them and also for brother Doug Lord God you see he's in the hospital uh his heart situation Lord we ask for your blessing upon Him strengthen him Lord Jesus strengthen him Lord uh bless the doctors that are working on him that everything goes well Lord and bless the rest of this day when we give all honor and glory to you in Jesus name we pray amen Our Father in heaven Hallowed Be Your Name Your Kingdom Come your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven give us this day Our Daily Bread forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us lead us not into temptation but Deliver Us from the evil one for your kingdom your power and Glory forever are yours amen be blessed
