The Flood That Really Happened

e e e good morning church and praise God that we could all be here today um I'm going to be reading from Ecclesiastes 7 uh verse two it is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting for this is the end of all mankind and the living will lay it to heart this week I had the ability to uh visit our friend um our brother brother Doug in Utah and we got to see um something uh in his life and I know Pastor Gennady will share more in depth um of everything that was happening there but it was very interesting to go and see a man uh you know we as humans we definitely become something uh greater or something better when we're questioning and C uh when we're thinking about certain things of our lives especially when we're going through trials in our life you know and I was expecting to you know hearing some news uh about him I was expecting to come and uh be in a gloomy state but as we came and we saw him he himself had the spirit of joy that is more than just uh happiness but something that for sure um uh comes from the Holy Spirit himself and it's interesting you know it's very interesting to see a man like that you know who even though he has much to probably worry about and stress about and there's some complications that are very very serious and yet a man like that uh close to God has peace has genuine joy that comes from uh a place that doesn't come from uh humans but comes from God himself and you know we as we are to uh we are called to Bear each other's burdens we are called to understand each other's problems and be uh close to our friends when they are going through something hard in their life it is easy to be someone's friend when they're going through the best moments in their life because we don't really have to M carry much of their emotions or carry much of their problems or conversations but you know if anything this should encourage us you know as we're seeing a lot of new people as we're seeing even our own uh friends here to not simply just strive to talk to someone at a low level but to understand them to get to know them and to become great friends here in this service and in these moments that we have together so let us all stand up let us all pray blessing this service and in Jesus name let's pray father God thank you thank you that we can come here in this morning Lord to be surrounded by our friends to be surrounded by New Faith and today Lord what you have prepared to say what you have prepared Lord for our hearts to accept Lord that you may God touch our hearts that you may move our hearts Lord to accept your word whatever it may be Lord and so teach us instruct us discipline us bless God the brother who will be preaching today may your name ultimately be glorified and in Jesus today we're having a speaker guest speaker uh brother Dave and um he's going to tell his background and what he does and how he came to know Jesus Christ but they want us all of us to to know that they do have two trips that they will be going on and they want us to to join them so if you want to join them in these two trips February 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Wilson Springs Pond and then March 1st 11 a.m. so you guys get one hour more of sleep uh join us for a Biblical field Adventure it's an adventure oh I like Adventures praise God for that but uh we'll give this time to brother Dave thank some coffee um so I uh I'm here from Georgia um been here when did I get here Monday yeah Monday we've been going all week long running all over I've never been to Idaho before so my first time being in Idaho um running all over Idaho that's all I know we've been here and there and everywhere yesterday we actually made it into Oregon um for a church out there there and so um is it having a hard time connecting no he's so calm what do you guys do to him he's just like what's up man he's just so calm I love it I'm kind of I'm not calm I'm the opposite of calm anyways um what was I saying oh yeah I have ADD keep up we'll get through it all together um no so been here all week long talking about Jesus it's been awesome um and I get to go home after this and go see my wife and my dog I have a Boston Terrier so if you know anything about Boston Terriers you know he's gonna be like Bing his eyes go sideways and he gets excited so my wife's eyes don't go sideways that's a good thing um so anyways now I all of my tattoos are before I met Jesus um I wish I could have that money back but uh I did not grow up in a Christian home I didn't grow up around anything Christian for that matter um I grew up in Connecticut which is um the whole Northeast is very devoid of any Christianity any any religion at all and um so not growing up in a Christian home or in a Christian environment I went to public school how many you guys go to public school yeah you were told Evolution was how we got here that's what I was told I wasn't even given an option to like believe something else I was just told Darwin figured it out you're a great Cosmic accident move on with your life well if there's no God where do you find hope you know what I'm saying when you stop and think about it where where does Hope come from if there is no God where does purpose come from where does meaning or value if if there is no God where do morals come from and so I'm not say I lived an unethical life as far as like I was not murdering folks but doing drugs and partying was just what you do because there is no God you know I didn't I didn't know any better and so I might have to um I because I let me let me do this and make sure it's reconnected um and my wife can talk and type at the same time I can't here we go that should fix it yay I love when things work you guys have it down to a you guys have it down to a science here too um so when you grow up without God it's a very depressing life um that's why I turned to drugs so much started doing drugs when I was 6 years old I don't have time to get into the whole story cuz I want to talk to you about some cool stuff um but by the time I was 26 my mom had died I was already married I had my son already um he was about three years old when my mom died but when my mom died she was my she was my world like she was you know she was the person I could go to with anything so I ended up getting hooked on crystal meth and um when I got hooked on crystal meth that was that was it that was the end of the story crystal meth will literally rob you of your entire life life and it did I was living in a a state that hadn't closed yet that was empty an empty house um had no electricity but it had running water so I could at least use the bathroom um found some couch cushions off a couch on the side of the road and that was my bed in the corner of the dining room over there and um had abandoned my wife and my son my house was in foreclosure my business was getting just shut down my vehicle had already been repoed I I lost everything and um so my my wife had been I went back to the house to visit because I was trying to you know be a good I don't know what I was doing Pastor I was so lost you know what I mean I mean if if I had had a gun at that moment I wouldn't be here right now there's no way I was afraid if I jumped in front of a a semi TR that I would just end up being a paraplegic or I if I tried to overdose I would just end up in the hospital get my stomach pumped I was just I was afraid to fail at failing that's how low I was and um so I went back to the house it hadn't quite foreclosed yet my wife was there luckily my son was sleeping and um she had been reading this book called knowing Jesus personally and basically all it was was a new testament commentary from the Billy Graham Library series I didn't know that all I know is it said Jesus and I just started mocking her what are you doing reading this stupid book about a stupid Jesus the whole thing stupid I mean I was just I just started mocking her started mocking the book my mocking turned to God and I started just calling him every name under the sun and I finally got to this point my my argument was this with him why would you create me and then leave me to this like what kind of a God would you be to to give me life if if he was there at all if to give me life and then turn my life into I wasn't taking responsibility for my own actions on how I I was just trying to place blame anywhere I could and so I finally said this I said if your God do something about it I'm done you you take it from here here Pastor I didn't know there was a Gody listening you know what I'm saying so dude my wife got my might me to sleep that night I don't know how um I woke up the next morning and I had a very Paul Damascus Road everything that made me me was wiped clean I I no longer had a desire for drugs which you don't get off a meth like that you've got to get on methadone which is a smaller narcotic to get you down go to rehabs treatment centers you you don't just put meth that's not how it works I tried tried for nine months it didn't work and he took my cursing mouth away he took he just took took my guitar away cuz I was trying to be a rock star and he just took he just he just literally wiped my slate clean you know and I was like what happened you know and so I spent the next few months couple of months I looked into Islam I looked into Buddhism I wasn't even thinking about Jesus you know he was a I'm an American I last thing I Jesus is everywhere and I grew up in a household where Jesus JC was what my dad used for normal language or or GD you know like those were just normal languages and so finally my mother-in-law handed me a book called case for Christ by Lee Strobel and if you haven't read that book I would highly suggest reading that book it's a small read but I got to the point where there's historical evidence for Jesus outside of the Bible and I was like what I didn't know that and when I got to that point I said you mean Jesus was really here he literally the guy Jesus was here a thousand 2,000 years ago changed everything all of a sudden I was like wait a second then what does the Bible have to say about him and when I started reading the gospel accounts I realized why that day that I woke up when he erased everything I had this weird piece that I couldn't understand I had this this purpose a smile on my face for the first time in God knows how long so that's why I'm here today um I try to travel around the country uh 250 plus days a year in all kinds of places trying to tell people people about the truth of of God because see growing up as an atheist I didn't believe the flood ever happened I didn't believe Noah's Arc was a thing I didn't even believe Jesus was here and so we travel around we try and give people evidences because I I have this kind of a a saying if you don't know why you believe what you believe you're what is useless especially with youth in America today they're leaving the church at Mass uh Mass amounts eight out of 10 are leaving by the age of 23 and and Carl the founder of our ministry he's got a saying that i' I've adopted they're not leaving we never had them in the first place they may have come to church they had a drug problem their parents drug them to church okay that was way funnier than you guys gave me credit for but once they got stopped getting drugged to church they go to college or start adulting they stopped going to church because they weren't being drugged to church anymore but when you actually do the research they already checked out back in middle school because they came in asking questions how do we we know this Bible is reliable and when you look at somebody and go just don't worry about it just believe that doesn't work so I want to talk to you real quick about Noah's flood I call it the flood that never happened because we have so many people that say oh the flood never happened it was at best localized floods and all that stuff well I want to challenge that I want to say what if the flood actually happened what would we expect so I want to go through this with you I'm going to turn back to Genesis and I want to read this passage in Genesis 1: 6-8 and God said let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters and let it separate the waters from the waters and God made the expanse and separated the waters that were above under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse and so and it was so and God called the expanse heaven and there was evening and there was morning second day and so we have this weird separated the waters from the waters have you ever been out on a on a lake where it was a real hot day and a cool night and there's just a Mist that kind of sits over the waters it's really cool it's a beautiful thing I think the original earth when when God said let the Earth be formed right that it was a ball of water we know that because it said the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters I believe there was this this Mist that was hovering above the waters that when God said let the waters below separate from the waters above he lifted into the outer atmosphere that fog which is water and what is ice water and and so when you get into the outer atmosphere it gets really cold when you get into the outer atmosphere as that fog began to lift it lifted into the outer atmosphere and froze now I have to put this declaimer out not everybody goes the direction I'm going with this the the problem I have with that is the people who have challenged me on this position and I'm going to tell you I'm going to show you exactly why I hold this position but the people who challenge me on the position I ask them where is the proof of the challenge and they can't ever give it to me all they'll say is if an i canopy were around the globe then there would have been a a a um a greenhouse effect and it would have been too warm everything would have burned up I said okay well let's let's work through that how do we get to that point they're trying to run models on computers without knowing was the sun always as hot as it was now what was the thickness of the ice what was the you know what I'm saying like run these and they can't get it so I come up with this and and everybody has I'm not going to die on the hill if if if somebody can disprove this then I'm fine my faith doesn't rest on this but this was what makes sense to me because at a minimum people will admit that there's some sort of when he lifted it into the outer atmosphere there's some sort of a a vapor canopy or a water canopy or a hydrogen canopy something that sat over the Earth and what that did was when you had radio waves come through guess what radio waves are good that's a good thing and also let visible light through that's a good thing but all the harmful UV radiation that we now have you know most cancers come from radiation UV it's that's they stay you know stay out of the Sun for x amount of time or make sure you put suntan lotion on or do your thing because we know that the sun has solar flares and it's it's bad for us and so at that time before the flood this canopy would have been there but then something happened God said and rain fell upon the Earth for 40 days and 40 nights now that's Genesis 7:12 now it is my belief that that canopy probably collapsed and when that canopy collapsed that's where it rained upon the Earth I'm not saying it hadn't rained on the earth yet we don't know that in scripture but we know that scripture tells us that the vegetation was watered from the ground up the Dew would come from the ground and water all the vegetation so it's highly likely that rain was not a very common thing back then but when that Vapor canopy collapsed it did that well here's what happens when that Vapor canopy collapses all of a sudden that harmful UV and radiation now it's hitting the Earth you've also got magnetic pulses that are beginning to hit the Earth because that protective layer is gone and then you've got what even worse solar flares that are hitting the Earth because it's that protective radiation or that protective layer is gone and so I want to show you why this makes more sense to me than anything else and here's why something happened this is what we know the lifespans from from Adam to Joseph go like this start from Adam and you'll see the long lifespans of seven eight 900 years then all of a sudden we have this massive quick job in the in the Life ages and and I think it's because right here that's where the flood happened and right there something whether my theory is correct or not something happened changed the atmosphere forever and people went from living 78 900 years to 300 200 170 very quickly now the average lifespan is about 77 years old 76 77 years old for your average lifespan if you're lucky enough to make it that long a lot of people don't make it that long you know that's a sad thing well if they're saved is not a sad thing if they're saved I Rejoice with them so I want to go back over here because it wasn't just rain that fell for a little while this this was a massive massive event and I want to start with this God's word is true amen you ever heard of Pangia in school let's see if we can support Pang I I believe it too it looks it's too it fits too well together to not have been one continent at one point in time but what does the Bible say and God said let the waters under the heavens what be gathered together into one place and let dry ground appear okay if the waters gathered to one place where is the land in one place if it had said let the land show up and and go into seven different continents then there would have been multiple bodies of water but he didn't he said let the let the be gathered into one place and let dry ground appear isn't that crazy our Bible literally spells out exactly what modern science is trying to tell us it's like well I knew that Moses already told us when he wrote Genesis he already told us what he did and so here's the awesome part this is where like people picture Noah's flood oh it rained for a little while oh my goodness no no no no no no in the 600th year of Noah's life in the second month on the 17th day of the month on that day all The Fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of Heaven were open Listen People we're talking about a global event where underwater volcanism is exploding everywhere all at the same time so it wasn't just rain falling down literal explosions of the soil Bel beneath the ocean were flying up through and literally creating tsunamis everywhere that was just washing over the face of of what then was was the was the land here's the cool part though once that happens guess what you start that much underwater activity and volcanism you're shifting those tectonic plates very rapidly and I don't have time to get into it right now it's a different talk but at that point you got to picture a really hot ocean now that goes up into the atmosphere this the plumes block the Sun so you're not getting sunlight in what's going to happen it's going to get real cold in the outer atmosphere that's where the ice age came from and then there was a another little land bridge that occurred down there that that's how we can get handled back and forth it's another talk for another time I would highly suggest looking into it it's really incredible the science behind the ice age is best matched by our stories in our book amen that awesome that's why I love being a Christian now because it's the only thing that makes the most sense but when I look back on my atheist years Pastor I'm like what was wrong with me what it was not what was I thinking I wasn't thinking because once I started looking into all this I'm like this makes total sense now here's the thing oh you crazy Christian you're going to tell me that those tectonic plates shifted quickly over a period of a few years uh-huh oh wait science does too science alert it's not Christian Scientists just fig they're always behind the eightball you know what I mean like the Bible already told us this scientists just figured out continental plates can move up to 20 times faster than we thought oh read the Bible you would have already figured that part out I was in Hawaii and and I had never seen landscape like that before and so I started to try and figure out like how was Hawaii made and so I Google Earth and I'm the little blue dot right there I Google Earth while I was there and I realized there's a Pacific plates that that run there's a fault line of Pacific plates that are shifting that run all the way from California to Philippines over there and and man when the Pacific plane goes there you can actually see like here's oh I hate when these things don't it absorbs the TV um you can see the Hawaiian Islands down here but then that pacific ific plate goes all the way out and there's mountains underneath the ocean what you see of Hawaii is just the tips of these big volcanic mountains is that awesome it's so cool it's like they're they're these giant things and you can follow them all the way out to the Philippines and and and Taiwan and there's there's like there's like little tiny specks and then there's like one Island that actually surfaced and there's actually an airport on there it's a it's a Midway refueling station sorry I've just about lost my voice this week talking so much so here's you crazy Christians CU I think that was made during the flood that's when I think Hawaii popped up I think during all that shifting and volcanism series of Island po up you crazy Christian it takes millions of years for that to happen oh well let's look at science science tells us again 1963 C the island wasn't there wasn't there in a day Sailors watched the volcano underground build an island and now you can see the greenery forming on the island I was like what's my gosh we're in 2025 aren't we I'm old holy cley 1963 wasn't that long ago what was it 80 years ago though 80 years ago we watched it happen right before our eyes I love science like that where it's like you can speculate or you can go look it already happened so could Hawaii have done that absolutely 100% there's no thing in my book that says it has to be millions of years I just wanted to see this though how would sea level change if all the glaciers melt and it says it would approximately cover 230 ft above flooding every coastal city on the planet if we just simply took the icebergs that are still left from the Ice Age and melted those down it would cover every major city on the planet so is it easy to conceive a worldwide flood if all you do is melt the ice it's almost going to happen now think about the fact that a lot of the mountains had pushed up during that time so covering every high place wouldn't have been that easy but this is where it starts to get cool um says but God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were uh with him in the ark he sent a wind over the earth and the waters receded also the Springs of the deep that we were talking about and the floodgates of Heaven the rain were closed and the rain stopped falling from the sky and the waters receded now you have a massive worldwide events C CED in a flood and and that water's got to go somewhere and when it recedes back if you guys ever watch the water what it does it'll tear some stuff up I mean look at North Carolina is right up the road for my house and sadly those folks are still in total turmoil they had so much flooding I I have a friend who builds those uh those off-road rock crawler things like the like he races he's in California doing the hammer right now and so he took some of his Vehicles up there trying to reach the most remote places couldn't get to them it had washed water came through and washed everything out to the point where it destroyed roads Bridges homes water is powerful so picture this you got a massive worldwide water Retreat going on and these mountains on the right th those are mountains that look like where I'm at um the Smoky Mountains um over in the on the East Coast those had come up during the beginning of the flood all that tectonic shifting those come up well just like a Rolling Rock a river rock is smoth over those Hills are smoothed over because they were through the entirety of that water rushing back to the oceans right the W the mountains on the left came up either towards the end of the recession the water or at the after the recession of the water and those that's they have no erosion whatsoever that's why they're Rocky like that so again the worldwide flood explains the geology that we see all the way around us now I'm going to apologize because it's going to be 2:00 in the morning you're going to be thinking of me not in that way that would be awkward because I'm about to play something that's going to stick in your head until 2 o'clock in the morning are you ready hey I'm gonna have words up will you guys sing along with me you you're not even gonna have to practice the song this is one of those one time you got it ready uh um I'm all the way up wait a second hold on I probably have to go get a Macbook they said it'd be fun they said yeah just going external headphone that was all sound guy stay calm it was my fault all right all right are you ready now here we go the BS about a worldwide FL of a world a worldwide if there was a worldwide FL what would the evidence be everybody billi of dead things Rock lers laid down by water all over the Earth billions of dead things buried in rock layers laid down by water all over the earth now at 2:00 in the morning you're going to be laying there going millions of dead things buried in rock players lay demo all over the years dang it Dave I mean that's that's I promise that's going to happen that's why I apologize in advance I'm like but seriously if there really was a worldwide flood what would the evidence be billions of dead things buried in rock layers laid on by water all over the Earth what do we find billions of dead things buried in layers Rock layers laid down by water all over the Earth this is this is everywhere you look it's awesome um we've had Melody with us this week for for most of the week and um she carries around a bunch of fossils and all the kids were geeking out because she got fossils with her CU fossils are cool man they're dead things you know look this is this is totally like well fossilization takes hundreds of thousands if not millions of year oh yeah tell that to this poor lady who was given birth and got fossilized that's evidence of Rapid burial that's not not millions of years that's not th that's not even days she was literally in the process of giving birth and and was buried and this this dude couldn't even finish his meal he was in the process of eating and and got buried poor guy and then the these I actually own these fossils um there's something about fish fossils which we find a lot of it's It's called the death pose and they're always with their Arch back and their mouths open not always but nine times out of 10 because they were rapidly buried they were suffocating they they died of Suffocation because of that and so this dude is still digesting look poor guy he just ate that food and he didn't even get a chance to enjoy it it was well I guess maybe it tasted good look here's here's the crazy part 29,000 ft in the air on Mount Everest uh sir Edmond Hillary climbs up there and he finds not only that there were fossilized sea shells at the top but the top 3,000 ft of Mount Everest was covered in fossilized clothed clamp and seams up to 10t thick Mount Everest is the highest point in the world why is the last 3,000 ft of it all covered in clam shells did you ever stop and ask or maybe you didn't know I got news for you they'll say well that used to be the ocean floor and it pushed up on top and the seashells went with it I would agree at one point in time that was probably the ocean floor or at least land floor but listen if you get cataclysmic plate tectonics shift and pushing and er roing up you're going to crush everything in its in its path how is it that there's deposits of full intact shells on top of there the only reason for it is if a worldwide flood happened and all of a sudden the waters deposited those on top of the mountain and then reced it down that's the only explanation have I repeated I love being a Christian now it makes more sense than anything else we don't have to have Blind Faith we don't have to walk around go well hope I got this one right we've we've got so much I could be here for two weeks and stop I couldn't even exhaust all the stuff I could show you guys that I've collected over the past 20 years of going look it's the Bible is totally reliable because everything that we see choten mountains there 9200 ft this all seashells they they put that Bliss X there to for for size reference so then I took this one myself that's abalon up on the top right right and other seashells and then these things are my favorite these are called feather dusters I actually have these in my tank at home you can see the tube of the worm and then up above if you look above the one on the right you see that feather pattern because if you ever seen them they come out of their tube and they look like a they look like a feather duster so I took this footage there's no volume to wor sound guy I took this footage and uh I was trying it was about 14 years ago so I didn't have the best nowadays camera phones are like better than any camera you can buy it's amazing but so it's not as clear as I would have liked it to have been but you get the idea there's there's some feathers there's some of the tube right there but here's the thing take a look at where I'm at I'm at the bottom of the Grand Canyon I don't know if you know this but the ocean's nowhere near Grand Canyon just a little geology l or geography L how in the world did sea shells and and sea life get at the bottom of we're a mile under the Earth in a canyon nowhere near the ocean and there's seashells everywhere just like they did on the top of the mountain Grant Canyon was caused in a matter of months it didn't happen over millions of years that wasn't a little water over a lot of time that was a lot of water over a little bit of time and things like this huge prehistoric whales found in the Egyptian desert I don't know about you but I don't think else live in the desert maybe I'm just stupid but I look here's more more this is a totally different area graveyard found in the desert Wales there's a family of them and in total disarray too they're all broken up in pieces laying everywhere and then did you ever wonder why there's really not a whole lot of human remains that are ever found very far and few between if the global flood happened causing all these fossils what are humans going to do they're going to fight humans don't just go well they just go float here and wait it out they're going to fight till the last minute tread water to the last minute until finally they can't tread water anymore and and then they're going to get bloated float sink to the bottom or get eaten by a Ravens but there's there's not a whole lot left of them because humans were the only ones that were not rapidly buried they were fighting for their lives and there was nothing left so I want to want to start to land the plane with this 1982 this was before 1982 on the left it's Mount St Helens in 1982 Mount St Helens erupted and in 1982 when it erupted it blew not just the top but the side of the mountain off and um excuse me when it blew the the side of the mountain off it filled in upwards of three or 400 ft of valley with material that rolled down into that Hill when it when it exploded here's the crazy part I was in 1980 1982 what happened was it's a big it's a big bowl and so rain comes down collects in that bowl and it freezes more rain comes down it snows it freezes and so you g basically got like a a glacier that lives up on top of Mount St Helens it's also an active volcano when I was there we were at the bottom of it exploring this Canyon that was made and I'm looking up going Dr Austin it's going you sure we're good cuz I'm kind of fat I don't move very fast if that thing goes I'm I'm going with it I guess tell my wife I said I love her 1982 that thing that thing that the the it got hot enough where it caused that ice to melt and that ice and water came down with a whole bunch of mud and washed down through in a matter of hours it cut 140t deep Canyon 17 mil long 1 140th the size of the Grand Canyon so again like cery the island we have now examples how did the Grand Canyon form look that's how it Formed super simple there there's there's the canyon on the left there's the um Grand Canyon on the right is Mount St Helens same layering features same everything this is Providence Canyon where I live in Georgia and Providence Canyon 120 years years ago there's stories of people going to school and jumping over a little little you know Trinkle of water that was going through and then it started to erode even more because they bad farming practices pointed all their farming uh erosion uh what is that called water run off water run off into one place and all of a sudden look this is beautiful that was caused over a period of months once it started to erode the more rain came down I took this picture myself we were hiking down in there and then here's the thing it's not like Grand Canyon like a a anomaly the this is Tibet we have Canyons everywhere Taiwan Namibia look that looks almost exactly like the Grand Canyon we have evidence of water recession from a global flood everywhere Peru there's Mexico Australia there's cre Morocco France I really want to go here I made a canyon look at that that absolutely stunning is in Kawaii so the fact that we've got stuff everywhere that points to a global flood it's not like there's one thing that does or two things that do the only thing I have a couple other talks about geology and the geological column and stuff everything points to the fact that it happened not that long ago and it happened as a major worldwide event just as your Bible that you're holding says so when we look at the scriptures and we say can we trust these for our lives absolutely th% I just did a talk last night on archaeology there's never been a discovery ever that has undermined what the scriptures say every discovery that we found has always pointed back to the authenticity of the scriptures I'm not making the claim that everything that's ever been written has been discovered that would be cool everything that's been discovered
