You Are the Light of the World
Pastor Gennady teaches from Matthew 5:14–16 that Christ’s bold declaration “You are the light of the world” is a call for believers to live visibly and distinctly, drawing the lost toward God through their good works. Before the main sermon, brother Mike challenges the church to set aside internal division and theological debate in order to bring hope to a desperate and hurting world, grounding his appeal in the love commandment of John 13. The service includes two opening hymns, a congregational singing of “I Surrender All,” a beautifully recited poem by sister Emma, and closes with the congregation singing “Goodness of God.”
