The High Cost of Serving Jesus

e e e e we're going to be starting our service and I'd like to read from Romans chapter 6 verse one what shall we say then shall we go on sinning so that Grace may increase and then Paul goes on with in the second verse to say by no means we are those who have died to sin how can we live in it any longer so uh we see here that Paul is saying that God's grace is so powerful but we are not to take advantage of that and to keep on sinning and sinning and sinning because God forgives um but we are to be transformed and to crucify our old selves on that cross where Jesus was crucified and to take on a new life in Christ Jesus um so with that being said let's stand up and start the service with prayer oh God we thank you for all your goodness Lord all praise and glory be to you God all praise and glory be to you Lord we ask you Lord God to come down into the service Lord Lord God we thank you for this day that you've given us Lord that we are able to come down to this place today God for this beautiful weather and this good time lord we ask you and we pray for the Holy Spirit to fill this place God help us to learn something new today Lord and to not leave empty-handed Lord we pray and we ask God help us Lord God to fulfill your will Lord and to learn in Jesus name we pray amen amen amen and tonight we'll be singing a song called above all [Music] powers above [Music] all above serving Jesus you know sometimes when we here that to be a Christian it's a it should be an easy life well that's not true I think it's the opposite to be an unchristian it's more of an easy life but righteousness takes a lot of work takes a lot of work and um you know the Bible talks about one problem and that is sin the Bible talks about one enemy who's the devil the Bible talks about one hero who is Jesus and the Bible gives us one way and that's through the cross where Jesus died amen you know once we made that decision in our life to go with God we have been at that moment officially separated from the world we agreed to live a separate life a righteous life and a holy Life by accepting Jesus into our our hearts but you know I'm pretty sure many of us see what's happening right now those those borders are kind of getting mixed the world and church they're starting to mix and it's starting to become not black and white but right in the middle where it's um a little bit of both uh gray and I think over here a lot of I would say Christians that just came to Christ they're they're kind of lost they're kind of lost I was recently talking to to one of my friends um that just recently came to know God and he's like you know I felt that God was telling me that I need to go to church I need to go to church and he's like but there's just so many churches you don't even know which one to choose you know and thank God sometimes he sends us to to make that decision on behalf of them because we see how Christianity is starting to mix but in John it says over here it says if the world hates you know that it has hated me before it hated you and it also says if you were of the world this is in John 1519 the world would love you as its own but because you are not of the world but I chose you out of the world therefore the world hates you I mean these are pretty strong words hates you know like when we tell somebody um like if when we were little children and we would say somebody or to our sibling I hate you we get in trouble for those words you know because it's a very strong word and that's how much the world hates us that's exactly how strong wrong they dislike Christians you know and if if we were of the world if we were dwelling what this world offers we would be their best friends we would be invited to their Gatherings we would be invited to their Friday nights we would be invited to their part parties but when they see you they're not inviting you why because they know you are not of them and this is a sign for them that you are different and praise God that people can see that okay this person he is not like me and over here we see that Jesus tells us people that went after him that just so you guys know the world hates you don't try to mix and match your Christianity with them they do not accept you the only way they will accept you if you accept them but they will never accept you so don't even try to mix and match you stay separated you stay hated by the world but as long as you love God why does the world hate us it's easy the reason why the world hated Jesus is because he pointed at their evil he pointed at their sins at their unrighteousness and yes some came to God some saw their problem and they came to accept that salvation but how often we saw where people it just irritated them to the point where they were already wanting to Stone him like throw him off a mountain a cliff just just so he would not point at their evil just so he does not mention their sin they were willing to do everything they hated Jesus for that and that's the hate they have for us we will understand the hate they have for us when we go to downtown and we start telling people about Jesus Christ and we will see how much the world hates us there will be people that are ready to pmel you and we've heard many testimonies of that from missionaries that go to other states that preach in downtowns and people it just irritates them what is the difference between a worldly person and a Godly person a worldly man runs to sin it's like a magnet sin is like a magnet for him he's attracted to it he can't live without it when he's waking up he's surrounded by it but instead of saying no he's a magnet to it while a godly man runs from sin sin is not a m for a godly man he's attracted to Holiness he's attracted to righteousness that's his magnet what we see is Christianity or some of them I would say are mixing that are mixing those magnets are mixing the in in the church but we who have separated ourself from this world like even if somebody tells you like he says in the Bible even if an angel comes to you and preaches you a gospel that I did not preach don't listen because we live by the word of God not by what somebody said and the only way we will know to separate ourselves from the world is when we do what God teaches us it's like a textbook if you want to pass your test you have to know the right answers you have to know the right answers it's simple if you go into a test not reading not doing your homework I'm sorry but you have a very slim chance of passing but you have a very high chance of failing and for us to be separated we have to read our Bible our textbook that is able to give us an understanding of what God loves and what God hates because when we just came to Christ not everything is clear not everything is clear but when we read the word of God we know that okay I need to work on this part in my life I need to work on say my anger my um my uh Strife that I cause maybe my personal issues I need to work on this this this it's like a textbook so you can pass your test you know brother Doug he was preaching a couple of weeks ago and it's an interesting point he said when the the Catholics would uh come out and uh say sermons they would say it in a different language that the people didn't understand so it's like you guys uh come in here and I'm speaking Indian you know and every body here is polite you're going to sit your you know one hour not say that we didn't understand you but what benefit is that for your soul zero and the whole reason like also is that people didn't read their word So Not only would they uh preach in a different language but people didn't even read the word of God so there was always you know people constantly not knowing how to live a righteous life so it is very important my dear brothers and sisters that in our life in order to pass our tests we have to read our textbooks we have to read our textbooks and that's the word of God a worldly man is also there to uh please himself while a Godly Man is there to please God you know like I'm pretty sure you know the younger youth they have their uh social medias and stuff at least some of them and you know on social medias you'll see people posting like a room with uh cash over there or their uh private jet you know and they're posing next to this to show millions and millions of viewers how smart they are how cool they are how successful they are they're all about me myself and I how good I am but a godly man he knows how corrupt he is he has nothing to prove zero he only shows how good God is for saving such a sinner like him that's the difference between a worldly man and a godly man if I want people to constantly Pat me on the back how much I achieved you're still living for yourself you still want people to see you as somebody good but just know you're not good I'm not good you're not good only God is good you know and so we as um God loving people have to show to this world what God can do in your life you have to separate yourself from me myself and I to show him to those who are all about themselves you know it's it's kind of interesting because uh there is this uh Pastor like he bought his his wife a really expensive car and so he did a whole recording he invited his whole congregation to to celebrate her uh birthday and he pulls up on this expensive car and like everybody just like after seen the gift you know kind of like this and he's blasting it everywhere and I'm just like why what is he trying to prove with this you know and then I read his congregation is complaining you know because they're not buying themselves like I say Lamborghinis you know they they can't afford it but he did with their money you know and so people of God have nice things but God didn't give it to us so we can show it to everybody how good or smart I am just enjoy it and be happy with it because it comes and it goes you never know how long you're going to have it you know so a worldly man is known by Me Myself and I he always wants to advertise himself while a godly man speaks nothing about himself other than how weaken how evil he he is without God and how good our God is and the third reason is a worldly man exalts sin but a Godly Man exalts righteousness you know it's no secret there's uh commercials on the Super Bowl and just on dayto day but sin example even like alcohol commercials they are exalted they are praised they show people having fun having a good time they're showing that oh you know your life you're going to have so many friends well you do have so many friends but they're all living just like you in sin they're all just like you going to hell which makes them the most sad and miserable people on Earth and what the people of the world they don't realize what consequences example alcohol brings you know abuse in homes drunk driving killing deaths there's many consequences that these exalted sins they bring addiction drugs women a son not having a dad a daughter not having a dad you know these are all consequences that they don't think about but this is exalted by the World by the world but we Christians have to exalt righteousness we have to show them how good our God is because nobody else is going to do that that's for us to do to show how good our God is and how holy he is and that there is a way from your addiction from your problem he can set you free that is what a righteous man tells those around him he doesn't dwell upon their sins but even if he surrounded among them he tells them what is right what is right he exalts the Holiness and righteousness of God and in Matthew 12:30 it says whoever is is not with me is against me this is Jesus saying and the question is who is with Christ the Bible says it's those who do the will of God because that's what Jesus came to do Christ came to do the will of God he was that light that came to shine in the dark world and we took his spot today we are like in his shoes we are that that sounding trumpet that needs to be sounding to this Dying World that there is a way out and you can be saved we are that trumpet to be saved sounding because if it's not us then people are dying without knowing god and so to my conclusion my dear friends the world hates us and doesn't know us because we point out its unrighteousness and its evil and there will come a time where it's going to hate us all sitting here so much that every country is going to be chasing us killing us imprisoning us our our children they're going to be chasing us but God has a plan even for that amen you know and so do not be afraid to say no to your friends if they are calling you to sin do not be afraid to say no but show them the righteous path show them what we are supposed to live like and show them that there's a way for their addiction that there's a way out and that is Jesus Christ in Jesus name we pray amen let's place we all get to heaven for a day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jes will sing and shout the victory while we walk the pil pathway clouds will over spread the sky but when traveling Days Are Over not a shadow not a s when we all get to heaven on a day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jesus Will Sing and Shout the victory let us then be true and faithful trusting serving every day just one glimpse of him in glory with build the do of Life fre P when we all get to heav What a Day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jesus we sing and shout the victory onward to the pricey Forest soon his Beauty will behold soon the Burly Gates will open we shall Trad the streets of gold when we all get to heaven but a day of rejoicing that will be when we all see Jesus we seeing and Shout the Victory we all get to heaven what a day of rejoicing now will be when we all see Jesus we see and Shout the [Music] victory okay praise God my dear friends so uh today we don't have open gym uh because we're having a church meeting after um but other than that we don't really have any announcements other than the weather is really nice so soon we might be hitting the park um okay and to to honor and glorify God and serve him with all the talents that he has given us uh hearing the message that our brother uh Tim brought kind of was similar to mine I don't know if we got the same notes so I have to change mine up a little but you know God is good he has he has a message for all of us uh when uh Tim called me he said brother Joelle well he texted me said brother Joel uh you want to preach on Sunday oddly enough be uh a couple hours before that I said Lord I'm tired I said Lord I'm tired all week uh we started uh uh we've been uh talking about cell groups and uh we just went Full Throttle at the beginning of the month Mon and I have a cell group Wednesday I have a a Bible study Tuesday Tuesday sub group Wednesday and then we have prayer Thursday and then uh we have don't just stand still on Friday preach to somebody talk to somebody uh and uh on top of that you know 9 to 10 hours of work I was sitting down in my desk uh mind you doing nothing and I was tired and I said Lord I'm tired what more can I do uh and then the pastor says hey don't forget we have a sunrise service today and I need you there at 6:30 I said in the evening he said in the morning he said I Need You Prayed up and I need you ready I said Lord I'm not going to complain I'm going to serve but you know talking to my to my wife said you know when I don't do anything for Christ i' I've come to figure out that I get sick but when I'm busy it's been a it's been a a week in a c a week a month and a couple weeks I have not been sick so I figured I might as well dive in full force but uh the topic of this message is a touch for serving how many of us here understand the word serve or serving yeah uh I want to take you to the scripture in the Book of Matthew chapter 8: 14 and 15 you're more than welcome to put it up there and uh uh studying thinking about what I was going to say the Lord took me to this verse I said Lord let your will be done and not not mine and it goes like this Matthew chap 8: 14-1 15 and when Jesus was come into Peter's house he saw his his wife's mother laid and sick of a fever and he touched her hand the Bible says and the fever left her and she arose and ministered unto them heavenly father I know you have a message today anoint my lips of clay let it be you and not me take me out of the quas father it's all about you today thank you for all these blessings and opportunities you've given me in the name of Jesus we pray amen you know we see that after Jesus heals Peter's mother-in-law I don't know if Peter was happy or upset man for all of you that are married we all love our mother-in-laws but Jesus heals Peter's mother-in-law and we see that right away after after Jesus healed her what does the Bible say she woke she got up and she began to minister to them you see we serve a God that when we were sick out in the world when we were lost the moment that we found Jesus in our heart he healed us and some of us that understood the message right then and there we got up and begin to serve you know when we serve and we serve with purpose God God begins to move in our lives God begins to change things around the impossible becomes possible you know for some of us we say wow that's hard but with Christ we can do all things because he gives us the strength you know I want to read in Matthew chapter 8:2 and it's okay you can just hear you don't have to open your Bible I got a couple verses cuz it's about it's about our text right it's about diving into the word of God and knowing you know Matthew 8:2 says and behold there came a leopard and worship him saying Lord if thou will thou can maketh me clean and Jesus put forth his hand and touched him saying I will be thou clean and immediately the leprosy was cleansed you know for some of you that uh that read the word of God and and you've studied a little bit into leprosy that was a sick nness that once you got it it was game over and it was such a horrible sickness uh for the fact that you had to separate yourself from your wife from your children from your brothers from your family as a matter of fact some say you had to leave town they had a colony of people that had leprosy and and you and you couldn't just be around people that didn't have it because as they walk close to you you had to shout unclean you had to let them know if not you would get in trouble and we see that this disease it was a terrible disease it it had there was no cause to live no companion to love no cure for life but we see that when Jesus got to there got to the picture amen he said Lord if thou will and Jesus said I will and we could see that his life was turned around you know this touch of Jesus it delivered notice that Jesus put forth his hand and he touched him and today Jesus is stretching out his hands and he's waiting for somebody to say Lord if thou will make me whole clean me clean my heart clean my life there are many touches of Christ in the Bible but there is none to be discussed un tell Jesus touches you you know before him we were lost before him we were nothing before him we have we had nothing and if we have something now is be is because God is merciful and God is great amen this activity is going to be a little fun but I want you to look at somebody and say God is great amen we're already starting to minister amen because God has healed us God has brought us out the psalmist says he picked us up he turned us around and he placed our feet on Solid Ground where we had no guarantee back then now we have guarantee you know many touches we are all sinners but Jesus came by grace and willing to touch and Deliver Us uh but Salvation is not the only Touch Of God that we need we need to seek him more fervently because if not we become stagnant we become just like everyone else you know for the longest time I was proud and don't get me wrong I am still proud of it to be called a Christian but we we dive into the word Christian what does Christian mean anybody to be Christlike like right we've been given the title to be Christlike but beyond that we are like Christ but we see that ultimately God had called us not to just be Christians but to be disciples you see you you read the word Christian in the Bible in the New Testament I could only find it four or five times Brother G pastor gady but disciples you can find more than that discipleship God has called us to not to not only be a Christian but to take the world or take the word out to the world out to a hurting people out to the Lost out to somebody in need you know when we started uh this ministry of uh bringing people to Christ this uh this new Bible study that we're doing at at the church I thought I was slick I thought I was sing I said Lord send me the easiest people I got a lot on my plate God I got a lot my wife looks at me she say you do nothing but I have a lot believe me I do and I said Lord I want people that already know about you but that H haven't fully decided to take that first step easy easy PE I want somebody that as soon as I say Jesus loves you they say all right I'm a brother I want it easy and I laugh because God is Awesome the other day I I I met a young man and his wife and I said all right this is going to be easy but I met them from behind I saw them I said you know I'm going to I'm going to go around and I'm going to say hey Jesus loves well I went around to the other side where his wife was and I said Jesus loves you and lo and behold she couldn't see she was blind like me but she was completely blind and her husband uh he had just gotten done drinking some alcohol and you the rest is history and I said Jesus loves you and he looked at me he say I love you too brother I said oh this is going to be a little tough I couldn't take it back and say Jesus un loves you so there we are I'm talking to him and I'm saying hey it's time and I asked what's your name and he says uh above all things I knew this was going to work he said my name is Tim and I said all right got that going for you I got a good friend named Tim so I started giving him scripture after scripture and and the young man was a neb I don't know if any of you have ever around a drunk person it's it's not fun it's not nice and he would love me one moment and then he would want to as Tim say Pummel me the next moment and I was just saying Lord prepare me I'm not a man of high pain tolerance father when I hit my toe I mean I make a scandal I said but Lord I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me and I started talking to him started talking to him started talking to his wife and finally she said okay they both said okay and I said can I have uh can I is it okay if I do a Bible study in your house one day I said okay and I went yes thank you Lord thank you Lord my first my first Bible study in a while because I gotten so used to just coming to church and hearing the brothers preach being fed but not feeding other you know and I think it's time Church Morning Star Church I think it's time that we get up from these pews and go out and do what God has called us to do to teach to preach this church is not going to get full by itself it would be nice right some of us we can sing loud enough they have to come in you know but the Lord has called us he has called us to go out to teach to preach you know and I ask you today what kind of church should we be we need to be a church that lives for Christ and not for the flesh we need to be a church that is separated from sin we need to be a church that is spiritual spiritually LED it now is the time where the true worshippers it says will uh will come in Worship in spirit and in truth we need to be a church that has Great Fellowship without losing sight of its purpose what is our purpose here today yes some of us came to receed to be full to be fed but it's just not that's not the end there's more Pastor Gennady can only do so much brother Tim can only do so much we called a congregation because we work together we need to be a church that is not afraid to stand up and say Lord here I am send me well what are they going to say when they see me at school and I go to somebody and say hey Jesus loves you oh you're not cool Lord we need to be a church That's Not Afraid how hard is it to tell somebody Jesus loves you anybody how hard is it now I'm getting kind of nervous because like the Hispanic people there are a lot of people that cross their hands here in this church the Russians and the Hispanics are the same and they give me the same look so I feel at home no but how hard is it amen amen where is where are the group of young men that were singing I me I going to have you guys stand up you know you're going to say brother Joelle come on I'm comfortable don't shake me up I'm used to sitting here in the bench you so I'm assuming you guys knowbody church right yeah is there's somebody here in this church that you do not know somebody here in this church that is just visiting us and no so we should all feel comfortable right all right I want you to find well this is probably hard because everyone's probably related I want you to go to a distant cousin walk up to them and say Jesus loves you yes sir all right you're doing it now cuz we're comfortable right it's simple though the brother said Russian only russan only amen how how hard was that I mean we see now after we gave the message we see them coming back with I don't know about you but I noticed they had smiles from ear to ear man some of them probably said Lord I've done my job take me home but it's not that easy God has called us we need to be more than anything we need to be a church that has a genuine Touch Of God what it's what the community needs today somewhere where they could come and fill Christ somewhere where they can come amen and lay all their burdens and give them to Christ you know there are a lot of people out there that are hurting you know there are a lot of people that are really in need you know but I want to be truthful my friend Tim and his wife that I met to know iiz long when I worked for Cricket Wireless oh thank you when I worked for Cricket Wireless yes I know Cricket Wireless me and brother Tim used to say cricket the ticket to no service and yet God was with us because we sold so much but you know I had met this couple Tim and his wife and I told my wife it was probably about eight years ago it was a winter I was driving to work and one she doesn't drive because she's legally blind she can't see and he can't drive because of uh some abnormalities he was born with and they were walking and it was probably about uh six below and they were walking to Walmart and here I am in my warm car driving to work and something told me just stop and give him a ride so I pulled over and it it was cold he didn't know me and I said praise the Lord you know I was thinking you know this is the way I'm going to spread the gospel I said praise the Lord you guys need a ride well sure it's cold thank you that was all I said and that was all I did took them to Walmart dropped them off never again did I speak to them but this time around want when I spoke to him when I went to my first bible study on Tuesday he wasn't drunk he recognized me he said Joelle I walked in I sat down he said can I can I tell you something and I said yeah what's going on brother Tim and he said do you remember he like he I might be slow but I remember he says brother Joel you're not a a hard man to miss I said watch the ne take care of your next words carefully cuz I have the power of God with me and he said do you remember when you gave me and my wife a lift and I said yeah and he says I didn't know you were a Christian you said praise the Lord but that's all I told him I know I figured that God would have done the rest so we started talking we started talking and there in the Bible study we start talking and I asked them where's your wife and he said well she's not she's not here she she uh decided to go visit another organization I'm not going to say what name because I don't want it to be gossip because we're not here to gossip I said all right well let me give you the Bible study and I started talking we started talking I said I'm only going to be 20 to 30 minutes in its tops but boy did he have questions and luckily I was prepared and we start going back and forth back and forth and we start talking and all of a sudden I hear somebody in the other room and I look you know and I I didn't I didn't think in of it any further and I'm talking to him I'm talking to him about the love of God I'm talking to him how Christ can change and I asked them aren't you tired of living the way you're living of not understanding who God really is and he says yeah he's like I know God blesses me I said but wouldn't you like to sit at the master's table you're used to receiving crumbs you know why God blesses you because you're his child but you just live off the crumbs God is inviting you to come and sit at the table and you want to be under the table he says yeah he says do I think I need to change my life I said I don't think I know and I hear somebody kind of tossing and he said you know what Jo I'm not going to lie to you my wife didn't go anywhere she's in the other room she just didn't want to come out to here and I said I know that's why I started speaking louder so so she can hear me and at the end after we prayed and after I left not even 20 minutes later I get a call from his wife and he says you know what Joel I just want to appreciate you because believe it or not I think I spoke to her more than I spoke to him when we can trust in God God is the one that does the talking Christ is the one that does the movie we're just the vessel but as brother Tim said we can't be that vessel if if we're are full of sin if we are full of hatred if we are full of bitterness if we are full of remorse we cannot be that vessel for him just as Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law Jesus can heal somebody today he is the same yesterday today and for yeah he hasn't changed you know some of us are used to to coming and and this is what I tell my musicians you know this shouldn't be something where you just come and play and sing every day you should be anointed every day you should have a new anointing from Christ His blessings are new every day every day we should dive in you know why because when you sing for him and you're anointed and you're prayed up and you're fasting and you're just asking God to use you that song it's no longer you I see it's Christ I see you know some of us are going I pray I know not here but some of us are you know I'm coming because I just have a great talent my mom says I'm a good singer and God is saying I want much more than that from you I want much more than that when Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law right away she stood up and she began to minister you know I think today is the day we start turning things around how by reaching the loss how by examining ourselves you know out of everyone here I am the worst Sinner and I could admit you're like brother Joel yes I I don't believe believe it you know but I can recall the moment that I decided to follow him I said come with me you know before I came here the devil tried to attack me I said man I I should have just ignored Tim's text how did he try to attack me by getting the ones that I love most to go against me so we're getting at a church and my brother comes up to me I'm not going to say his name but he's my brother I'm going to say his name he says okay are you ready I said for what he says we have a family picnic I said we do he's like yeah and here I'm thinking all right I could probably squeeze it in at 5 o' Joel and here in my mind I'm saying Lord give me the word Hur s CU my brother if you know him he's he loves but on occasion I'm still praying for him he has a lot of work and I told him you know what I can't and he says well why I said God has called me to do something greater than a picnic to go and give the message he says let me guess to your Russian friends I said whoa whoa I just gave the message to my Mexican friends let me go to my Russian friends and I told them look if you if you haven't known me brother this is what I live for if I got to make you feel bad temporarily to get closer to God then so be it but I know you'll call me in two weeks and say hey lend me 10 bucks and the anger it'll be gone I told him do this for me eat a hot dog for me eat a hamburger for me he said well we're having healthy food okay thank God I'm not going this picnic wasn't for me but like I said God is Not Looking for Bench Warmers you know God is looking for people who are willing and he's willing to touch you so that you can serve him you know we have to be like the lady that had and I'm not trying to offend anybody but how many you remember the story the lady that had the issue of blood how many you guys remember that story what was her life before Jesus healed her horrible right there was so many so many Loops she had to jump through so many rituals she had to go and do nobody could touch her and if they did they had to go and bathe themselves or dunk themselves seven times I don't know how but she heard that the master was coming through she heard that there was this man named Jesus that can heal and I can imagine that she thought in her head what are they going to do when I get close they're probably going to arrest me they're going to do something but she decided to be brave and Valiant you know this this journey this path is only for the Valiant people what we do is not for cowards this is for people that are Valiant that are brave because one day as Tim said they're going to hate us and one day they're going to tell you as a matter of fact there are probably people getting ready to go against the church in some way some form but the word of Isaiah says no weapon formed against us shall prosper greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world God begins to move Christ begins to move you know and when she saw that crowd she went and I can imagine she probably got on her knees to get Jesus was surrounded I mean just imagine he was famous people wanted to get healed by him people were looking for him for a healing but not for a relationship as some of us come to do we come to church for a healing but not for our relationship with him and Christ is looking for the opposite he wants to heal you but that comes when we have a relationship with him when we get close to him when we can trust him with all our heart all our mind and all our soul and we know the story right she went she touched the Hem of His Garment that's all it took right Jesus didn't even have to touch her and she was made whole that's as easy as it is for us when we need to go and minister to the people I'm going to challenge everybody just like I challenge my church don't come to church alone bring your neighbor bring your friend bring your cousin bring somebody and I'm going to end it with this I had waited so long and I have a coworker and one day I built up the courage and I said you know what you need Jesus and I invite you to my church and he'll change your life and lo and behold they've already been with us for services but all it took was for me to say Lord here I am here I am you know the time is now it's not tomorrow the time is now the change we need it now this shouldn't be about us it should be about Christ and everything else will follow everything else you know my boss called me and he said Joelle I need to talk to you and I hate it I ha hatte it I I I I never wanted to be a manager I just got thrown into that position one day I showed up he says by the way you're the manager here the keys he didn't talk to me and he said this is what your salary is going to be I didn't complain I said that's a good salary for what I'm making I don't mind it well yesterday he called me he says all right you have proven that you're a good manager I said proven I know what I am and he says I want to pay you even more but this is what I need from you I need you I need your commitment I need you here I need you here till 8 o' I told him but you know on Thursdays I go to church I go to pray you know I have cell groups now this is a devil at work I need I need you here I need you here I need you here I need you here and I'll give you this amount and all I see is ch ch ching and I say Lord give me word I don't want to make a dumb decision and I told him you know what take 15,000 off of that and give me the time that I have and I will still be a manager he says 'what do you mean you're asking me to take money away yeah but Joel all that money what good is all that money if I don't have what I need most I tell them the only reason this door is where it's at is because of God and not me if you take that away I'm sorry but I don't think we'll last he said all right I accept it you just got to let me know 24 hours in advance if you have a special service to go to I said well now that you're on the topic I need next Saturday off because they have a Minister's training in berley and they've invited me to go down there so soon already you're starting Joel you know when we can trust God he makes the impossible possible just like Peter once again mother-in-law she was healed God can heal you today I don't know and maybe you guys are perfect I don't know everyone here looks perfect you know but God is looking for somebody with a willing heart someone that he can make you even better than you are you might say well brother I had asked him who's that nice young handsome man playing the guitar oh yeah he's related to me calm down brother calm down they say he looks like me but you know what I saw I saw a man of God someone that God is going to use tremendously you know this right here a couple years this church probably wouldn't have been right but God is opening doors God is opening doors and the time is now and he's saying we need to get up there are men and women that are capable there are men and women here that are capable let's not leave the job up to Pastor Gad well he's the pastor it's his responsibility to win souls I don't know if you've ever felt that way brother but if not praise God but I know in my church they say well it's the pastor's job and the Pastor said well it's the co-pastor and guess who the co-pastor is brother Joel but I challenge you if you think you're doing enough I need you to do a little more for Christ and you'll see that he'll make the impossible possible so I'm going to make this call I know we I I know we have the way we do things the way we pray in our church is the same way but I'm calling you to get out of your comfort zone to get out of your comfort zone and be some something better for Christ so that next week you say Pastor Gennady where do you want me to be brother Tim was excited to go to the park but he fell to mention to evangelize he said barbecue he fell to mention to evangelize I said I got to talk to brother Tim and it's it's time God has called us to go out to teach to preach to make other disciples not other Christians that comes with the title right some of us here are just Christians but God is looking for disciples so I'm inviting you let us stand this is going to be different this is going to be different you know right there where you're at if you are serious and you want a change in your life you want to be something better I'm not asking you to say a chant I'm not just right there in your mind right there so that God can hear you in your voice in your mind say Lord here I am if you can use anything Lord use me take my hands my feet my heart my voice let it be yours and not mine let it be yours and not mine you know put this in my heart it's it's time time for me to somebody turned it down that mean it's time for me to go but Lord is putting Le this in my heart what's your name Buddy Mark God has great things for you I'm not an apostle I'm not a prophet I don't act to be a prophet but I can feel that God has great things for you and all your friends that were helping you sing even the young lady that was playing the piano who was that Beethoven and the young lady that was singing God has great things in store for you but he needs more than what we're giving him not I but Christ that lives within me so I'm inviting you right there where you're at or however you guys do it to be comfortable I don't want to take you out of your routine and say I can't do that but right there why don't we just say a prayer and just ask God to bless us in a mighty way Lord let us pray Heavenly Father Lord right now Lord I know there is great talent there are Great Hearts here willing to serve willing to seek God at this moment Lord I ask that you give Liberty Liberty to my brother to my sister to go out and preach your gospel not only here Lord but out in the open Lord where people that are hurting that are need that are needing of you Lord that child that is probably going through a process no one can understand that that wife Lord that is going going through domestic abuse Lord that husband that is going through drug and alcohol abuse Lord that we can be the vessel that you use to bring them to you God in your precious and holy name I believe that in a matter of months year Lord a year tops this church is going to be full Lord of people who are willing to serve you to seek you no matter the cost no matter how much hallelujah it's going to cost them they're going to serve you with all their heart mind and soul
