You must receive it. You must receive these words. And for us, believers, renew us to restore us into the righteousness and the image of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, church, I ask you, open up your hearts. Ask the Spirit to open up your hearts and say, Lord, teach me and help me to be like you. And with that, let's pray. Lord God, we thank you, God, that you brought us here this morning, Lord. God, everybody's here because you, God. You touched our hearts, God. And I pray, Lord God, open up our hearts to worship you and to honor you, God, but also to hear what you have for us this morning, Lord. May we accept your word, the power to restore us, to renew us, to make us into the image of your Son, Jesus Christ, Lord. Oh God, I pray, Lord, bless each person here. May we not be closed to the message that's going to be spoken to us, Lord God, but may we be open. In your name we pray. Amen. And for our first song we'll be singing You Deserve the Glory. You deserve the glory in the Lord, we lift our hands. And worship as we lift your holy name for reserve the glory and the honor. Lord, we lift our hands in worship As we lift your holy name for your grace, you demean. Because of there is no one else like you. There is no one else like you for you. You are great, you do miracles so great. There is no one else like you. You deserve the glory and the Honor Lord, we lift our hands and worship as we lift your holy name, you deserve the glory. And the honor, Lord, we lift our hands and worship as we lift your holy name. For you are great, you the miracle so great, there is no one else like you. There is no one else like you, for you are great. You do miracle so great. There is no one else like you. There is no one else like you. For a second Second song will be singing, yet not I, but to Christ in me. What gift of grace is Jesus my redeemer? There is no more forever now too. He is my joy, my righteousness and freedom, my steadfast love, my deep and boundless being. Place to this I hope. My hope is only Jesus, for my life is wholly bound to him. Oh, how strange and divine I can see all this mind, yet not I, but through Christ in me, the night is Dark, but I am not forsaken for by my side the savior he will stay. I labor on In weakness and rejoicing, for in my need his power is displayed to this idol, my shepherd. Defend me through the deepest valley, he will leave. Oh, the night has been won, and I shall. Overcome yet not I, but through Christ in me, no fate I dread, I know I am forgiven. The future sure, the price it has been paid for Jesus bled and suffered for my pardon, and he was. Raised to overthrow the grave to this is sin has been defeated, Jesus now. All the chains are released. I can see I am free at none, but through crime. In me with every breath, I love to follow Jesus, for he has said that he will bring me all. And day by day I know he will renew me until I stand with joy before the throne. To this idol, my hope is only Jesus, all the glory evermore to him. The race is complete, still my lips shall repeat, yet not I, but through Christ in me. Praise the Lord, my dear brothers and sisters, that we can all come here together this morning to Praise God's name to worship his name and to hear his word. And let us open up our hearts and our ears for the word for today that God is going to give us. And I want to do our Bible reading for this morning. So there's Bibles in the pews, and we're going to be reading in Psalms 54. And for many of you, that's going to be page 818. Psalms 54, page 818. And this is a very well-known psalm that is all over the place. It's pretty famous. It's when David is in a lot of need and he really needs God because all the adversaries are going against him. And he's in a very tough position in this spot. And we could see what he says here. And it says, Save me, O God, by your name, and vindicate me by your strength. Hear my prayer, O God, give ears to the words of my mouth, for strangers have risen up against me, and oppressors have sought after my life, they have not set God before them Behold, God is my helper. The Lord is with those who uphold my life. He will repay my enemies for their evil. Cut them off in your truth. I will freely sacrifice to you. I will praise your name, O Lord, for it is good, for He has delivered me out of all trouble, and my eye has seen its desire upon my enemy Enemies. Praise God. And now we'll have uh brother Tim come up and say a couple announcements for this morning, and then right after that we're gonna have Brother Vlad say a word for us. God bless. Vindicate me by your strength. O God, by your name and vindicate me by your strength. And just how the song we sang, not I, but through Christ in me. We can overcome. Not I, but through Christ in me. And David understood that the strength to overcome our flesh. To overcome our sinful desires is only through Christ. Only through Christ. And friend, if today you are struggling with certain sins In your life, those sins that are holding you down, that are keeping you captive, that are bankrupting your soul. Well, Jesus says, not you. but me, and I will help you to overcome. You will be overcomers. Let us remember what David said and the song that we sang Not I, Lord, but through you I received. my strength. We're going to have a meet and greet this morning, so let's take a few minutes. to just meet each other and greet each other. I just ask don't take too long because we do have a message coming up. So let's take this few minutes. In meet and greet. God bless. Everything was straight and finding When you remember when you cross me in Ruby doing that again, both and my credit And yeah, I don't actually see the complexion of things. Yeah, I just mean you're seeing it. So I know the IT They have the first one. Oh, Praise the Lord, God Almighty, brothers and sisters. Today I've titled my sermon, Will You Not Tremble? And I write this sermon first and foremost to myself. But to start, I'll be reading from Revelation chapter 1, verse 12. And I'll have a lot of verses in my sermon today, so I do not expect you to keep up, but feel free to follow along in your Bibles. So this is Revelation chapter 1, verse 12. Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me, and having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands one like the Son of Man clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes like a flame of fire His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and his voice as the sound of many waters. He had in his right hand seven stars, out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword And his countenance was like the sun shining in its strength, and when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. My beloved brothers and sisters, the man who wrote these words is John. John who laid his head on the chest of the Lord Jesus at the supper. John who stood under the cross when the others ran. John who ran to the empty tomb. If any man who ever lived knew Jesus as a friend, it was John And when John saw him in his full glory, he fell down like a dead man He did not clap, he did not dance around. He did not say, Oh Jesus, my pal, how are you He fell on his face like a corpse, and he stayed there until the hand of Christ touched him. That is the Christ who is coming back. Not the watered down Christ we hear about today, not the soft, smiling Jesus who agrees with everybody and asks nothing from anybody. The Christ of Revelation chapter 1 has eyes like fire and a sword coming out of his mouth And verse 7 says, Behold, he is coming with clouds, and every eye will see him. Every eye on the face of this planet, every single eye in this room. And in Jeremiah chapter 5, verse 22, it says, Do you not fear me, says the Lord? Will you not tremble at my presence? God asked this of a nation that had his temple. They had his priests, his word, his covenant, and they completely stopped trembling And this applies to us, my brothers and sisters. We did not come here today just to feel good or or comfortable. We came here for the truth. We came here for the raw truth, the grueling truth. And look at the church today. Christians are struggling more than ever before. Divorce rates are highest they've ever been. The young generation is drowning in addictions and distractions. Anxiety, depression, despair in people who sit in church every single Sunday. And everyone is asking why Or maybe not even asking at all. Why is the church so weak? That is because the church is not being fed. There is more false doctrine today than any other time in history. And in Jeremiah chapter 5, verse 31, it says, The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own power, and my people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end? You see, the false prophets did not force themselves on anyone. The people wanted them. The people actually paid for them. And somebody stands up and says, God wants you rich, God wants you comfortable. God has no wrath. You believe in God. Go live your life. You'll be saved. And the people say, yes, more. Give us more of that kind of preaching. What will you do in the end? What will you do when he comes? Look at what we have done to the house of God, all the churches that we see. The churches are becoming like clubs, entertainment centers. With light, smoke, a raw concert, a motivational speech with one Bible verse stapled onto his soul looks Christian. We measure a church by the size of the building and the size of the crowd. But nobody asks, is God in this place? We do not want a homogenized Jesus Christ. A acute Jesus Christ, as you can say. A Jesus Christ small enough to fit in your pocket and quiet enough to never disturb your life. This is the God the rotting world around us has made. The system takes the God of heaven and earth and shrinks him into something harmless. Something that you can just ignore. Something you can mock on television and nobody trembles. Now hear what the Lord Jesus Himself says about a church like this in Revelation chapter 3 And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, These things says the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of my mouth Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy for me gold or find in the fire, that you may be rich, and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the same That the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed, and anoint your eyes with eyes off, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I'll come into him and dine with him, and he with me. To him who overcomes, I'll grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Our Lord Jesus Christ here uses the word vomit. That is the word Christ chose Not, oh, I'm disappointed in you, or please try harder. But he says, you make me sick. I'll spit you out. And why is that? In verse 17 it says, Because you say, I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. Who is rich these days, brothers and sisters? Everyone who lives in the United States is rich. We have a roof over our heads, we have food on our tables. We have every need. Yes, some have more money than others, some have less, but in the United States we have everything that we need And this church, Laodicea, did not reject Jesus. Laodicea thought everything was completely fine. They had money, they had buildings, comforts. They say we need nothing. And Christ looked at that church and saw a naked beggar who did not know he was naked. That is Laodicea, and we are living in those days. Woe unto us, church, if we become like this. One chapter earlier he writes to another church. Who is called Smyrna? Poor, persecuted, about to be thrown in prison. And to Smyrna he says, But you are rich. And two churches here. The rich one he calls poor, the poor one he calls rich In James chapter 2 verse 19, it says, You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe and tremble. Even the demons. Satan is not an atheist. The demons actually have perfect theology. They know exactly who Jesus Christ is They know he is God. They know he is coming. They know what he will do to them. And they tremble. The demons tremble before the God. The modern church just yawns that. Hell has more reverence for Jesus Christ than most of the people who carry his name. And God says, Do you not fear me? Will you not tremble at my presence? So, who is this God that we have made small? Let me tell you what the Bible says, and I will put my whole life on it. There is one God. One. He created everything you see and everything you do not see, every star, every atom, every breath in your lungs right now. And this God is known us but Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Do not take my word for it. I'm just a piece of dust. Take his. Isaiah 44, 6 says I am the first and I am the last. Besides me there is no God. And now Revelation chapter 1, verse 17. The Lord Jesus speaking to John on the ground. I am the first and the last. The same words, the same title, the same God. The God of Isaiah who thundered on, the God who thundered on uh Sinai, the God who spoke and the universe came into being. Put on flesh and walk the roads of Galilee. That is who Jesus is. So when you shrink Jesus, you shrink the Almighty When you make Jesus cute and take away the seriousness of our Creator, when you ignore Jesus, you ignore the one who holds your next heartbeat in your hand, in his hand. This is the Christ that we want. Not a feel-good Jesus. Christ crucified, Christ resurrected, Christ returning. And Paul said it, for I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. That is the message. That is the only message there has ever been. All glory, honor, all praise be to Jesus Christ alone, not to Protestantism or Catholicism or Orthodoxy, not to a preacher or to a building, only to Him. And he is coming back. Everything you are holding on to is temporary. Your possessions, temporary Your career temporary, your bank account temporary, your body, your health, your beauty, your strength, everything is completely temporary And in 1 John 2, verse 17, it says, And the world is passing away, and the lust of it. But he who does the will of God abides forever. And I'm not saying these things can be taken from you. I'm saying they will be taken from you. All of it. Not one thing you own tonight will you own in a hundred, two hundred years. Not one. And the Lord Jesus, he told a story. A rich man with barns full. He says to himself, Soul, take your ease, eat, drink, be merry. And God says to him in Luke chapter 12, verse 20. Fool, this night your soul will be required of you. Then whose will those things be which you have provided? Look at the world. The richest men on this earth are building bunkers underground. Deep in the mountains, stocked for years. They have unlimited money. Why? Because they know something is coming. They read the same news you read, and they believe that they can dig a hole deep enough to hide from it. And the Bible wrote about this 2000 years ago in Revelation chapter 6, verse 15. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man. hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb For the great day of his wrath has come, and who is able to stand? Who is able to stand? No bunker is deep enough. No bank account is big enough. No name is famous enough. Who is able to stand? Because church, a day is coming. Every human being on this planet, every religion, every race, every color, rich and poor Famous and forgotten, every single one of us is going to meet our creator and give an account for everything we did on this earth And what will he ask? He will not ask how big your house was or how cool you were. He will ask what you did with what he gave you. Your body, your time, your money, your family, all of this is none other but the Lord's. All of it was on a loan, and the owner is coming back to settle accounts, and you have been given much. What will you say? Some will say what people said in Matthew chapter 7 said. Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in your name? And he'll say, I never knew you, depart from me. To people who did religious things, to people who went to church, to people who said, Lord, Lord. In Hebrews it says, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Repent before it is too late. Only Jesus Christ can save you. Not your church membership or your good deeds or your family name, only Jesus Christ, who is able to stand. How do we make sure that on the day when Christ comes back, we hear, well done, good and faithful servants. And not depart from me, you who practice lawlessness. Of course, brothers and sisters, understand this. You cannot earn it. Ephesians chapter 2, verses 8 to 9 says say this: For by grace you have been saved through faith, in that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Salvation is a gift. You do not work for a gift, you receive it. But also hear the other side. Where it says in James chapter 2, verse 26, for as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. We are saved by grace through faith alone. And we are judged by our works. Both are true The faith that saves you is a faith that moves. If your faith does nothing, it is a corpse. So, what is a good and faithful servant? We can look at the parable that Jesus Christ talks about. The master goes away, he leaves his good with his servants And after a long time he comes back and settles accounts. And the two servants were working, but the other one. What he was given, he did nothing with it. And the master says to him, Matthew chapter 25, verse 26, You wicked and lazy servants. Wicked and lazy, he did not steal, he did not murder, he just did nothing. And Christ calls that wicked And what was the root of it? Luke chapter 12, verse 45. The unfaithful servant says in his heart, My master is delaying his coming. That is the root of every unfaithful servant who has ever lived. He stopped believing the master was coming soon. And that is our generation, brothers and sisters. That is why the church is asleep. So how do we wake up? How do we kill this spiritual laziness? 1. Let the fear of God be struck into you. In Luke chapter 12, verse 5, the words of the Lord Jesus. Fear him who after he has killed has power to cast into hell. Yes, I say to you, fear him. You fear your boss, you fear the doctor's report, you fear what people think about you, fear God. Number two, number your days. It says in Psalm 90:12. So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. You are going to die soon. And if that might be shocking to hear, you will die one day. And if you do not die first, Christ will come first. Either way, you will see him. Live like it. Three, understand what is happening when you do not feel like praying When you do not feel like opening your Bible, my beloved friends in Christ, that is not laziness, that is not tiredness That is completely satanic. There's an enemy who wants you off your knees, and every time you say, Oh, not tonight, Lord, I do not feel like it, he wins. So, what do you do? You force yourself. In Matthew chapter 11, verse 12, it says, The kingdom of heaven suffers violence. And the violent take it by force. You do not wait to feel like praying. You just pray. You do not feel like reading. You open the Bible You take it by force. There is effort required from our end. With the help of the Holy Spirit. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we can do this. You say, but I feel unworthy. I feel like a sinner. I feel like a fraud. Good. That is exactly who Christ came for You say I was doing so well and I fell again. Of course you did. Get up, get up and go back to him. James chapter 4 verse 8. Draw near to God, and he'll draw near to you. The closer you go to him, the closer he comes to you. Every time, 100% guaranteed. And you are not doing this alone. The Holy Spirit is with you. He is the power. Ask him. Ask him for strength. Get your posture right. You stand before God and you say the truth. Lord I can't do this. I'm pathetic. I'm a wretched sinner. I keep failing. Help me And then you say the rest of the truth, but Jesus Christ loved me and he died for me. And then you ask him, Lord, give me the power to love you more every single day. That is the prayer of a servant. And when you live like this, you discover the secret. In him, I need absolutely nothing. Nothing. In him I have everything. Laodicea said, I need nothing without Christ, and Christ vomited them out. The servant says, I I need nothing because of Christ. And Christ says, Well done. Now let me tell you what he gives the servant who is found faithful. His word in Matthew chapter 25, 21, Well done, good and faithful servants From the mouth that holds the two-edged sword, the one who created everything, the heavens and the earth, everything living and breathing in it, that God says to you, Well done. His trust. It says, you are faithful over a few things. I'll make you ruler over many things. His joy, enter into the joy of your Lord In Revelation 22, it says, His servants shall serve him, they shall see his face. They shall see his face. That is the reward. Not a billion trillion dollars. Him face to face forever that you cannot put a monetary value on Wicked and lazy servant, outer darkness, good and faithful servant, his face and his presence. Which one will you be To you, my beloved brother or sister, who have never given your life to Jesus Christ. Maybe you came with someone, maybe you do not know why you come. God says in Isaiah 45, 22, look to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth, for I am God and there is no other. Do not go on without settling it. Not tomorrow. Today. Look to the Lord Jesus and be saved. To you who once walked with him and fell away. Maybe you were once on fire, and now you're lukewarm and you know it. Hear what he says to Laodicea. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. He rebukes you because he loves you. Come back to serving and loving the Lord wholeheartedly. And to you who are walking with him, tired, fighting, falling, and getting back up, hear the words of the Lord Jesus in John 14. Let not your heart be troubled. I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself. That's where I am, there you may be also. He is coming for you. Stay faithful. May the Lord give you strength. Now I want to take you back to where we started. John is on his face like a dead man, before the eyes of fire and the sword and the voice like many waters. And then the hand comes down on John. Revelation 1:17. But he laid his right hand on me, saying to me, Do not be afraid. I am the first and the last. I am he who lives and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Do not be afraid. The same hand that will crush the mountains lifted John off the ground. The same eyes that burn like fire looked at John with love. On that day, do you want to hear? Do not be afraid or depart from me. Tremble, repent, serve him, because he is coming. The last words of the Bible, Revelation chapter 22, verse 20. He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. And the whole church answers him with one voice. Amen. Even so come, Lord Jesus Even so, come, Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus Christ keep you, guide you, and find you faithful on the day he comes. Now and forever. Amen. Praise and Lord be to you, God. Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for dying on the cross for our sins, Lord. For giving us eternal life, Lord, eternal salvation, Lord, that you have given us as a gift, God, that we cannot earn by our works, Lord. It is a gift, God. But we pray and we ask, Lord, help us, God, to serve you. To serve you in our daily life, God. To have righteous works, Lord God. To have works of the fruit of the Spirit, Lord. To walk in holiness and righteousness, Lord. To love you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, to love our neighbors we love ourselves, Lord. Help us, God, on the last day to be found faithful, where you say, Well done, good and faithful servant. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. And for our last song we'll be seeing There is Power. Would you be free from the burdens of sin? There's power in the blood, power in the blood. You are able a victor to win. There's wonderful power in the blood. There is power, wonder working power. In the blood of the land of the land, there is wonder working now in the precious blood of the land. Would you be free from your passion and pride? There's prime in the blood, power in the blood, come for a cleansing to Calvary's style. There's wonderful power in the blood. There is power power, wonder working power in the blood, in the blood of the land. There is power wonder working in the precious blood of the land Would you be wider, much wider than There's power in the blood, power in the blood, since sains are lost in its life-giving flow. There's wonderful power in the blood. There is power power, wonder working power in the blood, of the limb, there is power power, wonder working power. Working God in the precious blood of the Lamb Would you do service for Jesus your King? There's power in the blood, power. In the blood, would you live daily this praises to sing? There's wonderful power in the blood, there is power wonderful. Wonder working power in the blood in the blood of the Lamb there is power power wonderworking power in the precious blood of the Lamb. There is power wonder working come in the one of all them. There is power wonder. After working out in the precious blood of the land race car There's power in the blood. And friend, today if if the message touched your heart and you want to give your life to Christ, You can do that right now. You can just come up and we can pray for you. And you can confess to make God your Lord and your Savior. It's interesting when uh uh we read that passage in Revelation where when God comes in his glory, than then people they hide into caves and the they ask for the rocks to fall on them. So Kind of pictured the situation. Jesus is coming. Like he says, it's like in the days of Noah. people are eating, drinking, getting married, so people are working, going to school. Um Going places, buying things, and then all of a sudden everything stops and Jesus is coming. And we have to ask ourselves, are we the ones like, he's finally here? Or are we the ones hiding, running away? Oh no, he's here. I'm not ready. That's how it's going to be. be. Those that are not, those that want him delayed when he's coming, he they're gonna all be running to their bunkers, to their safe homes, to their whatever, but nothing is gonna save them. Because he already came to take his church. And may we be those who he comes for. And kind of how we heard, not those who he says, lazy, depart from me. May this message touch our hearts, and if there's anything in our lives that we need to change. Change. Let us do it right now. We're going to be also um Like we set a date on the move in date, but uh there's uh some delays, so we are hoping to finally move into the new location. Uh the first week of October. We will keep everybody up to date. I wanna let you guys know because I do have people asking, so when are we moving into the the new building, the the gym. And I'm like, well, okay, like I'll keep people up to date. And uh once we do move in, everything's gonna be already ready there. Second of all, just a reminder that Tuesdays at 9 a. m. at Disciples Coffee, we do have Bible reading. And this is a very blessed time. Those who come, we all learn a lot. And our beautiful youth choir is going to be performing there. They're going to be singing and they prepared a whole program and there's gonna be obviously us preaching. So we're going to all glorify God together with our guests. Does anybody have any needs or any thankfulnesses? If not, let's pray. Lord God, we thank you, God, for this message, Lord God, that you spoke through your spirit, Lord Jesus. May we all tremble before you, God. May we all tremble before you every day of our life, Lord God, knowing that you are holy and you are righteous and that's what you are expecting from us, Lord God. Oh Father, forgive us, forgive us for being lazy, Lord. Forgive us, Lord God, for being lazy, God. And just give us that zeal to seek you, Lord Jesus, to seek you daily. to seek you in our life wherever we are, to not make excuses, Lord God, but to love you, God. And Lord, whenever we are weak, Lord, please give us that strength. to draw near to you so you can draw near to us, Lord. Bless each person here. God bless each person who's watching us online that we together, Lord, seek your face in holiness and in righteousness. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Our Father in heaven, hallow be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us
