103:13 as a father has compassion on his children so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him and you know with it being a Father's Day today I kind of wanted to bring up this verse and uh this kind of Compares a Father's Love to God's love to us because um God is our heavenly father and it's also a Divine love gladly bear he BL and G and he was raised to overthrow the grave to this I hope my sin has been defeated Jesus now when ever is my oh the chains are released and can see I am free yet not I but through Christ in me with every breath I long to follow Jesus for he has said that he will bring me home and day by day I know he will redew me until I stand with joy Before the Throne to this I hope my hope is only Jesus all the glory ever to him when the grace is complete still my lips shall repeat yet not I but through Christ in [Music] me praise God brothers and sisters today my sermon is going to be about the story of Job each and every one face test in our lives and we ask God why are we going through this why is this happening to me and sometimes we'll never know the answer of why why we went through a certain test but God sends us these tests to see if we will stay faithful to him and job is a great example for all of us because he went through a big test in his life he lost everything it tells us in the Bible that job was a blameless and upright man who feared God and shunned evil and he was the greatest of all men of the East he had seven sons three daughters he also had 7,000 7,000 sheep 3,000 camels 500 Yol of oxen and 500 female donkeys yes job was a very wealthy man if we open our Bibles to Job 1 16-18 it says here now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan also came among them and the Lord said to Satan from where do you come so Satan answered the Lord and said from going to end and frow on the earth and from walking back and forth on it then the Lord said to Satan have you considered my servant job that there is none like him on the earth a Blame A blameless and upright man who fears God and shuns evil so Satan answered the Lord and said does Joe fear God for nothing have you not uh made a hedge around him around his household and around all that he has on every side you have blessed the work of his hands and his possessions have increased in the land but now stretch out your hand and touch all that he has and he will surely curse you to your face and the Lord said to Satan behold all that he has is in your power only do not lay a hand on his person so Satan went out from the presence of the Lord now there was a day when his son uh when his sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine uh in their oldest brother's house and a messenger came to job and said The Oxen were plowing in the donkeys feeding beside them when the sabines raided them and took them away indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword and I alone have escaped to tell you while he was still speaking another also came and said the fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants and consumed them and I alone have escaped to tell you while he was still speaking another also came and said the Chans formed three bands raided the camels and took them away yes and killed the servants with the edge of the sword and I alone have escaped to tell you while he was still speaking another also came and said your sons and daughters were eating and drinking of wine in their oldest brother's house and suddenly a great wind came from across the Wilderness and struck the four corners of the house and it fell on the young people and they are dead and I alone have escaped to tell you that's a lot he lost in such a little time and the devil thought the only reason job served God was because of his possessions imagine you're being told you lost this you lost that also this happened and it's all just horrible news but what did job do he didn't sin or Curse God he continued to worship him sometimes when we get so attached to these Earthly things we start putting them number one when we we want to be successful life you want a nice car nice house but God is only a is only able to give us this stuff if he knows we can handle it why would he give some uh give us something if he knows it will destroy us and corrupt us now after job lost his riches and kids Satan saw that job uh was still faithful to God so in Job chapter 2 he comes back to God and it says here in verse 4-10 so Satan answered the Lord and said s uh skin for skin yes all that a man has he will will give for his life but stretch out your hand and now and hand now and touch his bone and his flesh and he will surely curse you to your face and the Lord said to Satan behold he is in your hand but spare his life so Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head and he took for himself a poir uh with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes then his wife said to him do you still still hold fast to your integrity Curse God and die but he said to her you speak as one of the foolish women speaks shall we indeed accept good from God and shall we not accept adversity and all this job did not sin with his lips in the end job does present his case before the Lord but what he does not receive is an explanation still his decision is to remain faithful during a crisis what is and what is Job's key to remaining faithful during the Cris crisis it's acknowledging God's power and sovereignty with a repentant heart sometimes suffering is not related to anything we have done if it uh if it is allowed by God we must trust in him and not doubt his love for us job's suffering NS to has a purpose that purpose is not uh always punishment although sin does bring punishment but that uh is only a small part of suffering role in the life of the believer suffering proves that a authenticity of one's faith and produces righteousness in the True Believer perhaps we have trouble identifying uh with job because we know that we don't approach his level of righteousness deep down we believe life should be fair and like job we're puzzled when it's not in the end job did not uh get a Defined answer from God about the reason for his suffering uh but God restored by doubling everything job had lost job's faith in God was steadfast he held to what he had said early in the book though he slay me yet will I hope in him that's in job uh uh 13 uh verse1 15 ultimately job was a good man who suffered through no fault of his own and during his tragedy he made he had to make a choice job could have responded with uh resentment toward the Lord but he chose to stay faithful during a crisis the truth is that we have two choices when it comes to uh respond responding to any tragedy or crisis in our lives we can choose to trust God or doubt his sovereignty and goodness many of us however fail to make a choice at all rather we go back and forth between trust and doubt and which CA in which case the choice has been made for us understand this the absence of trust is doubt trust is a choice backed by the int uh intentional decision to believe what he has not been seen has not yet been seen it takes action trusting God is the only way to remain faithful during a crisis it is impossible to claim the victory that has been bought by the blood of our Christ when we only accept good from God and doubt him in in adversity we must be willing to accept the tragedy to appreciate the Triumph as followers of Christ we must be prepared to experience life with the same uncertainties that job did and still be willing to trust in God as act uh as actively working in our lives even when our surrounding circumstances seem hopeless we can rest assured that remaining faithful we will receive God's reward in its right timing whether the crisis you are facing is personal or Global making a choice to seek and trust God is the best best way to ensure that you uh emerge from the situation victoriously job May uh not have understood what was happening to him and why behind it but he knew that God is always good always loving and always trustworthy job realized his pain was not permanent God would provide a way to get through it the suffering of this life is temporary and we will not last forever for those no no sorry uh the suffering of of his life is is temporary it and it will not last forever for those who trust in the Lord after this life there's eternal life with God in heaven so what are we to learn believe in the absolute sovereignty of God like uh like it says here in job 42 1- uh 2 and it says here and that no purpose of yours can be withheld from you and also believe that in everything he does he's good and right and his knowledge surpasses your own also repent from any sins that you have and be satisfied in him and his holy will just like job uh just like job was to the people around him you too can be Christlike examples for others in times of adversity and uncertainty so be encouraged you have not suffered like job wait for the Lord and trust him praise God he does not leave us alone in all of this through scripture and the Holy Spirit he continues to teach us and guide us through life so that we can stand before him blameless once we reach heaven amen let's pray and now we'll be singing what a lovely [Music] name what a lovely name [Music] there's a name above all others wonderful to hear Soul oh young gladies this was very beautiful yes yes good job good job yeah so every time I had to preach in English I get a little bit nervous but it's just because I guess my kids may be making fun of me when I speak in English so but another thing so you know that I own the a European Denture Center and so I see patients who need dentures and so sometimes we have some patients call us and would ask what is the difference between American dangerous and European dangerous and I would explain well the method of making is not that much different but if you'll have if you'll get European dangerous you'll have European accent so and then they choose if they want to have it or not so but um but that's a great selling point they know that's not true but still it's funny actually so the topic of my sermon today like a newborn babies majority of the people in here even though today is a father days father day so there is not a lot of a fathers here but it's okay I mean everyone is enjoying their time which is very good but Tim do you guys have water no not I already got thirsty before I start speaking actually so and uh but majority of uh uh people in here are young people that don't like to be called thank you Tim babies because I have uh my kids my older kids whenever my six-year-old kid either start complaining or crying and they always tell him stop being like a baby and so so I'm sure you guys don't like to be called babies but today in my sermon I will show in this case it's good to be a newborn baby and it's not only good to be but it's going to be an extremely important to be a newborn baby it's OB obious that all of you are born physically so there is no question about it we don't have to guess or think about it are you a born individual you are you're here in this place but when it comes to a spiritual birth it's not so obvious so let's open the first actually uh passage from the scripture this is going to be the base of my sermon so I think I borrow this from Eugene this is Vadim and Demitri on top right here with the milk I'm just joking and I think this is a Zach with a Bible actually over there when he was no it looks like him but I'm joking I I just found the picture anyway so um and right here I have a heading as a love pure milk that's my here we have a two babies looks like they really enjoying that milk or they're really happy that they're going to enjoy that milk but let's read what Apostle Peter is telling us in a um first epistle chapter 2 verse1 and Beyond so I don't have really good eyesight so that's why sometimes I have to bring my um computer closer to me therefore putting aside all malice and deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander like a newborn babies long for the pure milk of the word so that by it you may grow in respect of Salvation if you have tasted the kindness of Lord and coming to him as to a living Stone which has been rejected by man but is a choice and precious in the sight of God you also as the living stones are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifice acceptable to God through Jesus Christ love a pure milk but you got to be a newborn baby so at first I do like to talk about the stage of a pre-birth period I'm not a medical doctor and I'm not a scientist but for my profession uh biology degree I did had to take embryology so I know just a little bit but it's been long time ago so I kind of forgot a lot about it but still this is a very basic thing if you've been in school you probably already studed about it so scientifically a pre born baby they call it a fetus yeah and the description of it as we read right here an offspring of human or other mammal in the stages of parental development that follow the embryo stage so biologically the embryo stage it's the first 8 we of gestation and then the next actually period is they would call it a f and that's why there is lot of even though today it's not a topic that we're talking about what should we consider a pre-born baby a baby or just a fetus but biblically a pre-born baby it's a baby is just a before birth and so and it is a human being and God already knows that personality and he develops that personality so therefore we even can read actually in Jeremiah 1 verse 4 and 5 now the word of the Lord came to me saying before I form you in the womb I knew you and before you were born I concentrated consecrated you I appointed you a prophet to the Nations before Jeremiah Was Born he was already he was known by God and God was developing him and forming him to be a prophet to the Nations God already worked with that individual because it's already a human being but as I believe there is a three stages to a human number one it's in a mother womb number two it's on this Earth and number three Eternity for some it's a heaven to others it's a hell so and um that's just a side note about so when you young people when you're going to grow up and there's going to be a different circumstances in your life and there is lot of of this media bombarding you and saying oh it's just a fetus there is no problem you can abort this baby you can do whatever you want it just remember it's a person that God knows it's the person that God develops is the person that God prepares for a certain task and how someone decide to abort this child so we got to understand this but again it's a side note today that's not a topic oh Lawrence I think you got a wrong picture we're not talking about coffee today okay next so I guess they're ready for coffee already I guess it's not a time yet I'm joking it's me who controlling it so but anyway so let's talk about what it's mean to be a newborn baby I'm already talking to the people who are being born physically obvious we're not talking about the physical birth and uh but this man who came to Jesus Christ he also had a question I mean how can an old man be born again he just did not understand that he got to be born spiritually so let's talk let's read this conversation between Nicodemus and Jesus Christ like a newborn babies it's going to be first John so everyone who has Bibles I encourage everyone like brother I've been doing to bring the Bibles even though if you have phones right now I would encourage to open the phones as well because we actually the my base um passage we going to talk about maybe in a few um Sundays not next Sunday but whenever I'm going to talk I'm still going to continue so I want you to understand that the first passage I read from the first Peter to it's our base but then right now the supportive passages I'm actually reading and so the conversation between Jesus Christ and Nicodemus it's John 3:1 now there was a man of the Pharisee named Nicodemus a ruler of Jews this man came to Jesus by night and said to him Rabbi we know that you have come from God as a teacher for no one can do these things these signs that you do unless God is with him Jesus answered and said to him truly truly I say to you unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God so it's interesting In this passage we see that this teacher of uh Jews he came to Jesus Christ almost almost like he praising him that's just amazing Jesus I mean what can you do that just amazing you must be from God and naturally you would expect that Jesus Christ would answer and say yes I'm I'm a messiah or I've been sent by God or I'm a prophet and Jesus Christ completely ignores what he's saying and he goes to him unless you be born again you will not see the kingdom of God because whatever Jesus Christ is going to start explaining whatever Jesus Christ is going to start telling him about the spiritual birth he will not be able to comprehend with the physical mind first you got to be born again and so that's why Jesus Christ right away goes to him and goes and tells him that unless you be born again you will not enter in into the kingdom of heaven but let's take a look who was Nicodemus so Nicodemus he was a known teacher of Jews teacher of what teacher of God of God's law he taught people how to know God he taught people how to serve God he taught people how to live their righteous life Nicodemus was a Pharisee nowadays a Pharisee it's a scholar a Christian scholar or Theologian Theologian it's a Theus Gody it's a study yes so Theologian so nowadays we call them theologians before it was the Pharisees so he knew about God much plus to accomplishment because when Apostle Paul was learning to be a Pharisee we think such a great thing so and Nicodemus at that time was already a Pharisee and Apostle Paul we know he went to the actually to the rulers and was asking the permission Nicodemus he was a ruler of Jews plus to be a teacher to be a Pharisee he also was a ruler and men have accomplished a lot seems like he was a good person when all the Pharisees went against Jesus Christ he actually came by night and was seeking the truth and he was saying maybe you do not fit into our are understanding how to serve God but whatever you're doing I mean that's just you cannot dismiss that I need to know what's going on he was a good man and he knew of God much I'm not sure if grammatically that's right when I'm saying of God much because I cannot say that he knew God because there is a difference between knowing things by just description and knowing things by acquaintance by description I can read lot of books I even can read a Bible this is just by description by acquaintance when I have a personal relationship when I touch something I experience him something that's called my acquaintance that's why I believe that Nicodemus knew God by dis script he knew of God much but he was not born again otherwise Jesus Christ would not tell him unless you be born again can you believe a person know about God so much he teaches about God he teaches other people how to serve God and unless you be born again you will not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven that's amazing so I believe based on the example I gave you from the physical life Nicodemus was in a pre-birth stage he was already I believe in developing stage maybe he was a baby but not born yet because the Holy Spirit is already was working on him he was developing him and he was seeking the truth but he was not born yet again to be born again one must do what and one must do this so let's go ahead and read actually John continue to read John chter 3: 5 Jesus s truly truly I say to you unless one is born of water and spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God that which is born of the flesh is flesh that which is born of the spirit is a spirit a physical body is born quite obviously when someone is born everyone is know everyone knows especially right now through the Bible she already had a child everyone like congratulation congratulation everyone can see that child very obviously you cannot hide this but it's not so with a spiritual birth one cannot see spirit's birth with a natural or naked eye it shows up only in the work it is doing inside of you it's only can been seen what's happening inside of you through the outside when you're born again Christian you become different because something inside started working on you and it's not so much even the outside circumstances make you to serve God to love God it's what happened inside of you you have that loaning you cannot live with without God like a newborn baby without the pure milk and if there is a time when you start forgetting about God if you are born again Christian there is going to be a time when you start learning again I need to come closer to God because you feel like you're dying actually so let's continue what one must do to be a newborn born baby spiritually you guys probably already have heard that but this is today more like introduction to this passage that I read initially and we're going to talk about more but from the book of Acts I believe that book of Acts it's a transitional book between the life of Jesus Christ who still was walking almost we would say in the Old Testament time and then book of Acts is what how Apostles preach to the people in order for them to be saved so therefore how to accept Jesus Christ actually we can read a lot in book of Acts what did Apostles preach to people and you know what I'm going to tell you the apostles when they preach to people they actually preach to people like you some of you and maybe me it's those people that already knew God they were the Jews they serve God they knew the scripture well but they need something more they need something more and so let's read uh before I read I would like to actually put a stage when it was happening and why did um Peter said whatever he said so it's in a on a day where pentec when the uh the apostles and other disciples they received actually the Holy Spirit and they were glorifying God and everyone who was looking at them because they came to Jerusalem to to do a c certain um whatever been required in the book of law they came to Jerusalem and they see this going on and actually they start saying maybe they're drunk we're not we're not sure what's going on why they're all talking at the same time and then pet actually stood up and he started preaching to them and he started telling them that we are not drunk and those people are not drunk but whatever been promised through God in the Book of Joel It's fulfilled right now that Jesus Christ who God chose to be a savior you actually did not recognize him and you crucified him but he was chosen by God so you and I and our kids he would tell them that would have a Salvation And The Terrible Day is coming and those who will not accept Jesus Christ will be perished forever and when they heard that let's read then now when they heard this they were pierced to the heart and said to pet and to rest of the Apostles Brethren what shall we we do what one must do to be born again and the question they asked what shall we do and some of us should sit in this place and ask the question what should I do what should I do and let's read what Peter answers Peter said to them repent and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the for forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit number one is repent repent before whom sometimes when we think of repent we thinking just we have to confess and say hey I was a bad person and can you pray for me that's not a repentance repentance uh in Greek it's minatom it's understanding it's when I was going one way right now I turn around 180° and I start walking a different way I understood that I was wrong I understood that I was wrong before God the Father I understood that I sin against him and even though God actually loved so much Humanity that he gave his only son but I never told him that I was wrong against you and forgive me and I would want to give you that example let's say when you had a really good friend that you trust everything to him and there was a time when that friend went against you and start bad mouthing you and he told you actually I never want to have anything with you for no reason and even though if you're going to think that I want to be friends with you from at some point just remember I never want to be a friend with you and don't mistake unless I come personally and tell you that and so the next day you see that friend actually and you're not sure why he did that and that friend is walking and all the sudden and he's not telling you anything but he tried to play cool and he tried to play like everything is good and you're not sure is he want to be a friend with you or not that he mistaken that he regretted what he said and you're not sure in the life is going on and you know that's what many of us doing to God God so Lov the world that he gave his only begotten son there was a time when we said we never want to do anything with you and that started with Adam and then we was born and we was born rebellious and we said to God we never want to do anything with you but then we know that he gave his only begotten son and he loves us but right now he want us to come and tell him you know I regret whatever I said or I don't mean it whatever I said or if I did meant it no forgive me for that is there was a time when you told when you told that to God are you just playing cool you know just be be with all those people who actually said said to God there's sorry but I don't want to do that but I'll just be with that crowd it's got to be done personally it's got to be done personally so that's why first Peter told them to repent before God the Father second believe in Jesus Christ in here in this passage Peter does not telling them that why because when he start preaching to them and he said that God sent his son but you crucified him and in that moment they believed in him that's why they were saying what shall we do they already knew that he was a savior that's why but in different scriptures when actually Apostle Paul was preaching to to the um the prison guard and all that stuff first he said believed in Jesus Christ because he was not a Believer but in this case they already believe so number one repent number two it's believe in Jesus Christ believe in Jesus Christ believe what it's when we even come to Father the god when we said God father forgive me for whatever I did but you got to remember that Satan demands for every sin there got to be a death and he would tell God the Father father he have sinned he needs to die that's why we got to believe that Jesus Christ is that Redemptive price for my and your sin that when I tell him God the Father forgive me for my sin I accept the blood of Jesus Christ I accept that payment I acknowledge that and I believe that he did that for me that's what we believe in Jesus Christ and after that when we have those two stages then then when we as a First Peter chapter 2 verse3 if you have tasted the kingdom of the Lord there is a time when we tell to God forgive me I believe in Jesus Christ and I start following him it's like a relationship between um a Christian man and Christian woman a young man and woman when they coordin each other when they start knowing each other and there is a time when he proposes and she says yes I want to actually spend the rest of A Life That's the engagement and so and the third it says and be baptized baptism that's when we come to God and we said that we taste you and from now on I want to actually be part of you I want to be with you for the rest of my life we give that commitment and there's going to be a time for waiting and we still are waiting for that but baptism it's a time of commitment when I say that I'm committed to God I want to with you I want to spend the rest of my time with you and I want to serve you that's what the baptism and Peter would tell them and be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit I would like to end my sermon with this are you born again spiritually each one of you you don't have to answer that question to me you have to answer that question to yourself are you born again spiritually yeah I understand you was born in Christian families you know God maybe you're a good person do you think you know God more than Nicodemus did you think you were a better person than Nicodemus was do you think you have accomplished more than nemus Nicodemus needs to be born again how about you are you need to B be born again and next time when I'll preach we're going to talk about some of the symptoms of an unborn baby and the consequences of a spiritual birth so we can actually examine ourself and say am I Born or not but you even don't have to wait for that today actually in this prayer if some of you are not sure that you are a born again Christian yeah you were born in a Christian family you actually know of God you even preaching you're singing uh but that does not mean that you born again Christian have you ever committed yourself to God have you ever tell tell him that forgive me who I was I accept I accept actually the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and I want to follow you Jesus Christ not because of my parents not because of my friends but because I need you without you I'm going to perish if none of you if at some point or I'll tell you like this if you feel like you're not following Jesus Christ with your free will then today is the day when you can make that decision and give your life to Jesus Christ those who sometimes need to come forward you can come forward and we'll pray for you uh those who feel like they want to actually do while they're sitting in their place you can do that and maybe after the service you can come up to Tim or me or uh some Elders in here and talk about it but you need to be born again in order to see the Kingdom of Heaven in the name of Jesus Christ amen let's pray e I'll be reading from Luke 6:38 give and it will be given to you good measures pressed down shaken together and running over will be put onto your bosom for with the same measure that you use it will be measured back to you God has placed on your heart to give today our brothers will be going around with a tithe offering um and you can give whatever God has put on your heart to give and lastly we'll be singing the song called yes I know [Music] Come Ye s lost and lonely Jesus BL can make you free for he sa the worst among you when he said th rich like me and I know yes I know Jesus BL can make the my lener que and I [Music] know yes I know Jesus BL can make the viol [Music] inner to the F he giveth power through the M his [Music] HKS find it water in the desert turns the night to Golden day yes I know yes I know Jesus blood can make the Viet pleas and I know yes I know Jesus blood can make a I theen and I know yes I know Jesus blood can make the violent inner be and I know yes I know Jesus blood can make the violence [Music] consider praise God my dear friends so I think you know the lord well I don't think but the Lord you know he was teaching us today in his message through our our uh our friends our brothers our pastor you know that we all have to be in that stage where we're spiritually born you know and as we heard today that if we are not yet spiritually born we will not see the kingdom of God and if you feel today that you are not yet there you know like we heard today that you can make that decision and if you want somebody to pray for you let us know and we can uphold your hands in that but um I just want to remind again for next week we're going to be going to a different church at 6: p.m. so we will not be having this service
